Never used ME - question about how to

We have friends going to Disney in early Feb. and they want to use ME. They booked their trip on-line through Disney. Will they automatically received luggage tags for ME or do they have to register with ME somewhere. Any help would be appreciated since we go every year to Disney/Universal but always rent a car and have no ME experience. Thanks

It is an option in the booking process. If they did not specifically reserve it they will need to call and have it added on.

They can also reserve online https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/reservations/dme/?bhcp=1

They could also call reservations to see if they have it reserved and if they don't they can do it over the phone.

They must have a reservation for ME to use it. Simply having a hotel reservation will not suffice.
