Never used DDP because...

Go signature one night if money is not that tight. Technically with more than one reservation you could have to move to a different room but WDW tries really, really hard not to do that.

Didnt want to pay for 1st and last day of reservations.

If I setup my reservations 1 for first night and then then 5 nights then 1 night. Is there any down side to this?

I know I wont be able to make reservations at the first 180 day.

Thanks

you actually can't do this. Disney will not allow you to split a reservation to reduce dining by 1 night. you would have to change room category or resort for this to be doable. You wont be able to stay in the same room.

not when you add the dining plan to only 1 of the reservations.

Is this new? I have added days before a free dining promotion in the past, same category room and didn't need to move.

For a DVC reservation they stopped allowing this a couple of years ago. I think the op said they were Staying DVC

You do not want a signature meal? Really? You'll do 1cr but not 2cr?

Go try Narcosseess or Yachtsman. You'll change your mind.
Depends - I love Narcoosees, but my tip was over $150 the last time that I ate there. It is an expensive meal no matter how you slice it.

We intentionally arrive late on our arrival day so we have an "extra" night's worth of credits to use throughout the course of our trip. This allows us to have a QS or TS meal on our check-out day or do a signature meal or do a TS breakfast and TS meal one day during the trip. You have a lot of options.
