So I just realized that we will be in DL while one of the friday Halloween parties is going on. I don't really know if I want to attend and I have tried reading through that super thread but just decide to ask my questions and hope no one gets annoyed at repeating themselves.

1. If you have already paid for admission to the park, do you have to pay for the party as well?

2. How much of the park does the party encompass?

Yes, if you don't pay for the party you have to leave when it starts, which is around 7pm. You can spend the rest of the evening if you wish over at DCA. I haven't been to a party so I'm not sure how much of the park is occupied with trick or treat lines but i'm sure it's spread around pretty well.

Yes, it is a separate ticketed event, and I think you can get in at 4pm or earlier, even though the park closes a bit later.

You get to enjoy the entire park. Also, there are special Halloween fireworks that are a lot of fun. There is a small calvacade, not a full-blown parade, for this night.

How do they figure out who doesn't have a ticket for the party if you are already in the park?

If you have the halloween ticket you get a wrist band to wear. Anyone without a wrist band they remove from the park and you can't get on any lines for any of the rides.

The additional ticket can cost anywhere between $46 - $69 depending on the date, when you purchased it and if you have an Ap or not.
They will check wristbands typically when you go to other lands, are in treat lines, on rides, and when you buy food and merchandise. When it is close to party time, the CMs will herd the people without wristbands out of the park.
Also, I believe all of the rides are operational with the exception of the boats on the ROA.

Thanks for the info. This won't be a huge problem as my almost two year old will be close to falling asleep by 7 pm anyways.

My friend was planning a 3 day trip to DL, but instead of a 3-day park hopper pass, she just bought a 2-day and a Halloween party ticket for the 3rd day. She couldn't go into the park until 3pm-ish on the day of the party.....but it wasn't a big deal. They had a blast at the party.

I have a 6 day hopper but I plan on saving a days use and just use the early admittance provided by the MHP tickets.
