So there's lots of threads prompting things that people love to do and recommend doing, but is there stuff that people have done that they truly don't recommend trying? I'm sure that there must be something out there that someone didn't enjoy.

I'll start!

The last time we went down for Christmas (this was around 7 years ago), we decided (or maybe I decided) that we were going to do all four parks in one day. We started with the EMH for MGM (because at that point it was still MGM), then went off to AK, then Epcot for Dunch, then we finished it off with EMH for the Magic Kingdom. I was 16, my sister was 11, and my parents were with us, and I swore from that point on we would never do something like that again. I was completely exhausted by the end of the day and wasn't able to enjoy myself in the Magic Kingdom at all (however my dad and sister kept going until 2 am).

Anyone else like to share?

((i apologize if there is already a thread like this, I couldn't find one. >.<

DHS on Star Wars weekend................during the parade.............we made it just past the turnstyles......:scared1:

Conservation Station. We hated that whole area. The only thing we liked was the train ride. We may ride the train again, but we won't get off there. For one thing, I just felt like it was something we could do at our local nature centers. The petting area was a snoozer for me as we can go to the zoo to do that. The kids were kinda bored too. I'm sure some people would like it, but for us, we go to Disney for all the exciting things we can't do at home! It wasted a huge portion of our day, and we didn't get to visit other sections of the park b/c of it. We can't wait to go back and really experience Animal Kingdom for realsies this time! It was our first trip, and my parents wanted a chill by the pool day, so we didn't get to the park till later. Then we had a reservation at Tusker House, and we did the safari. By the time we did those things and Conservation Station, the park was closing. My parents were not aware that it closed so early, and it was our first time, so we were clueless. Some of us didn't get to ride a single ride. We have two days planned just for AK this time!

Hoop Dee Doo review....oh my goodness...Ive never been to something so lame in all my life....it was awful. My 8yr old begged me the whole time if we could leave...my 2yr old half hid his head half cried the whole time. There was no kids menu and despite people on this board telling me to ask the waiters to bring my kids something different..they wouldnt. Kids starved, jokes were lame, singing awful, food mediochre..totaly waste of time and money.

There were few...

1) Rafiki's Planet Watch/Conservation Station. Not that I am not into saving the world, but it was just kind of boring to me...However, the train ride is a nice break from all the walking.

2) Going in the middle of July... It was my first time, and I don't deal too well with the heat as it is and the crowds were crazy! So I prefer to go in the fall now. I enjoy going to MNSSHP.

3) Innoventions in EPCOT. Rather spend my time in the Land and The Living Seas. Tried to do Innoventions every time I have gone, and I just can't get into it, so its a definite SKIP on my family's next trip.

But you know, To each his own. There are some people that actually like these things. I, however, am not one of them. ;)

I'll go ahead and broaden the statement: Never again during peak season. Hot and crowded is a bad combination. That goes for Christmas/New Year's too.

As much as I have ALWAYS wanted to go for Christmas, I will have to agree for a couple reasons.
1) The crowds!
2) I like to go to Disney every couple years and we don't make enough to stay during a time like that. So we go when its a value season(even if it means chancing hurricanes!) so I can get my Disney fix!!!

Agree with Rafiki's planet watch! Could use that time much better else where! :thumbsup2

Narnia was a big let down to my family...who are huge Narnia fans! :guilty:

OMG!!: Captain EO!!! Talk about a total waste of Disney time!

I also agree with a PP who said 'Disney in July'...I'll never do that again either. Although I was ultra sensitive to the heat when we went in July (I was 4 months pregnant :rotfl:)

We love the Hoopty Doo Review but will NEVER go to the Osborne Family Lights. So crowded and such rude people. Another thing we will never do is buy the gingerbread at the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian. YUCK!

Another vote for Narnia. After it was all done we came out of it thinking "that was all there was?":confused3

Lights, Motors, Action. INSANELY long wait, loud, boring, not that impressive. People in my group had a great time though and thats what matters, but I HATED it.

I agree on the Narnia show.. waste of time. :thumbsup2

Others I'll never do again are spending New Years Eve in Magic Kingdom and riding Stitch. Worst night ever and worst ride ever IMO.

Nothing else comes to mind... :wizard:

I have a couple:

Ellen's Energy Adventure. It is an ok ride/show, but I don't wish to be trapped on any ride for 45 minutes with the only way out an E-Stop.

Going to WDW the first week of December. I did that for the first time last year, and it wasn't a whole lot of fun. The Christmas party was nice, but I felt like a human popsicle by the time it was done. I hated walking around the parks with my winter coat on too. It just didn't feel like Florida, and it didn't feel like Disney World to me. I've been to WDW in July when it is hot hot hot and I would rather do that again then go and freeze.

Thought, "Oh hey we have 30 minutes before we can go to SciFi for our ressie, let's duck in here and just waste some time." If you want a nap, go to the show. It was the most boring thing I have ever done!

See, isn't it funny how some people like something, but others don't? I love Conservation Station! Love watching the veterinary procedures, touching the animals like the reptiles and other animals they have out with their handlers inside the building, and watching the small "show" they have at the stage area by the petting farm. In this area, they have the zookeepers bring out a variety of animals on stage to talk about them. I saw many different things there, like a pygmy hedgehog, a porcupine, and some extremely cool birds. They let you go up and see the animals close up, and ask questions about them after the show. To me, that's fascinating.

I'm not a big fan of Mission Space. Did the "spinning" version once (before they had the tamer version) and said NEVER AGAIN! Made me totally claustrophobic.

Also, not a big fan of Stitch.
