I just got this e-mail from them:

Thank you for playing Netwinner. You were an Instant Winner. As part of our normal security procedures, you have been randomly chosen to verify your identification.

Before your prize can be processed and mailed, we require that you fax a copy of a valid government issued photo ID to our toll-free fax line at 1-877-561-5268. Please send fax ATTN: Compliance Department, Instant Win.
Once we receive a copy of your government issued photo ID, processing of your prize request will continue. The information requested is a faxed copy of a vaild government issued photo ID i.e. Driver's License, State ID Card, Military ID, or Passport faxed to our toll-free fax line at 1-877-561-5268.
NetWinner does not request any further information regarding your Social Security number and asks that you do not send any such information with this request.
In order to be processed, your fax must include the following information:
Username
First and Last name
Email
Physical Address

Date of Win
Please send fax ATTN: Compliance Dpt, Instant Win
If we have not received this information within 14 days, your prize request will not be processed.

I wonder if I got this because I filed a BBB report? I'm not going to send them anything. $25 isn't worth a problem. Did anyone else get this?

Actually that is a pretty typical request - I would send it in - I know they were requiring that before their problems also. Many of the programs require the proof on occasion - I know mypoints has before, freeride, etc.
