Has anyone here used Netflix? Do you like it?

We've been using if for about 6mths. Really like it, so easy and the shipment time is about 1 day either way. Much better than regular rental ( I never seemed to make it back in time). I don't subscribe to any movie channels on cable, it's much cheaper to do netflix and pick the movies I want to see rather than the few they show over & over again.

The selection is also very good, many that you might not find at a rental outlet.

The only complaint I have would be that sometimes new releases are slow to get. We've been waiting for Holes & Pirates and haven't gotten them. Other new releases I've received on the release day so it just depends on where you end up in the queue on release day it seems.

I posted a similar post about a month ago and I just wanted to let you know that the response was overwelmingly positive. No one posted to say that they were dissatisfied! I plan to sign up as a gift to DH for Christmas.

I've been using them for about a month and I love it. No more trips to Blockbuster :)

We've used them for a while now and I love it.

One trick I learned with the new releases is to add them to the queue when they can be added -- usually well before their release day. As their release date appears, move them to #1 in your queue (which happens before their actual release). Then I usually time the return of one of my movies so that it coincides with the release day. I'll drop it in the mail on Sunday -- knowing that it will be there by Tuesday. Tuesday comes, they receive my returned movie and low and behold, the next one up in the queue is the new release just out that day. I usually have good luck doing this.

I hope to never return to a video store again.:D

Thanks for the input, and the tips! ;) I just love getting videos, but it's not convenient to get over to Blockbuster or anything else.

I too love it....And I love it even more as Netflix opened up a warehouse here in my hometown of Lakeland. So I get a one day turn around on my movies...it great, it really is.

I love Netflix. We've used it for about a year and get lots of value, I think. We live about 10 miles from a Blockbuster and the little video store near here has nothing much I would watch. Netflix has it all. We've had no problems at all. I do agree that you have to manage your "queue" to get the newest releases but I haven't had to wait too long for anything.

Is that the same thing as adding them when they release in the theatre? That's what I do. :teeth:

The one thing I like to mention to new Netflix users is that you can suspend your account for a month at a time if you have a busy time ahead of you with no time for movies. You skip payment for that month but, your queue remains intact and, it starts up again automatically. Best to do this right before your billing cycle of course. ;)

Enjoy!

We have been members of Netflix for going on 3 years and we love it. We only use Blockbuster for games (I wish Netflix would rent games as well) and I just hate walking in there now. Such a rip-off! I love love love Netflix.

Another Netflix fan here.

It is just so darned convenient. And the variety is wonderful. We have rewatched a lot of old mini series that are now out on DVD.

There is a site for those interested in Netflix for games...

GameFly

I have been using it for about 3mo and love it

We use Netflix and have tried Whale Rider 3 times now and each time the disc is bad. Anyone else have trouble with this particular title? We have contacted them about it, but they keep sending us discs that can't be played.
