What is this part about watching movies online? How does that work?

Certain movies are online. You can watch them instantly. It is included in the membership.
The selection is limited but not too bad.

We just subscribed when they started having the movies available on the XBox 360!! It's so awesome, just pop something in your queue, and then get on XBox Live and watch it! I wasn't too impressed when I saw that you could watch them online, as I don't really like to sit at my desk to watch movies, and my laptop screen is too small. Now that I can enjoy the benefits of online viewing, but on my TV, I LOVE it!!
:thumbsup2

I second that I love the XBox live feature it makes Netflix even more of a value!!!

That is cool ChrizJen. I need to get an XBOX, right?

Just can't stomach the 1000 that it is going to set me back right now and waiting on Final Fantasy 13.;)

I just tried to watch my first online movie this weekend and was not too successful. It kept on stopping and stating that my internet connection had slowed. I have high speed roadrunner from Time warner. So who knows.

my husband does have an x-box, so maybe we will get that set up for movies.

Another easy way to do it is if you have a flat panel t.v., hook a laptop with internet to it, and download/view that way.

actually pretty easy.

Is there a limit to how many movies you download/watch with each plan?

nope, the online movies are unlimited and are included in whichever membership you have. I have about 30 in my online queue right now. I have been watching a lot of movies on our x-box in the last 2 weeks since we joined Netflix. It is definitely worth it!

I watch them on the computer sometimes as well.

I'm just curious why an x-box is going to set the pp back $1000? The regular units are only $199 now.

The x-box will still require your network (internet) connection. I received this message in movies, but only just once in the movie as it adjusts for the change in speed, then the movie resumes and continues without further interruption.

Thanks for all of the answers. We have tried Blockbuster online but as soon as we joined the price went up so we canceled. We were offered 1/2 off to join again for 3 mo. but I think we are going to give Netflix a try this time.

Because I would buy an Elite, which is not 199.
By the time I am done, it is going to be up there in the 700 range, at least.

Oh so many games I want....:lmao:

I think it would be nice for a business traveler (or vacationer) who doesn't like what's on the hotel line up or pay for a PPV. I've tried it a few times but I wished they had recently released movies available, not just the older stuff. I like the idea of their net device but probably wouldn't buy one.

We are LOVING this feature!

I was very excited recently to finally get high speed internet (yes, we were still on dial up), but then very disappointed that I can NOT get this feature to work. It says to install Silverlight and then it just stops with a blank screen. I reboot, retry and it always gets to the same point and stops dead.

I've done it online once and it worked great! Except I discovered my laptop speakers stink and couldn't hear it very well. We have an xbox 360 as well and my kids love getting movies off that.
