Hello!

We're trying to put together our RideMax itinerary for our first day at DL on Sunday, March 9th. We're trying to figure out how many attactions we could realistically do during the MM hour if we choose to ride Nemo first. If we make sure to arrive in line early and head straight to the Nemo line once the gates open, about how long could we expect the wait time to be for the Nemo ride? Out of the following attactions, how many others do you think we could squeeze into the MM hour? Any??

Matterhorn
Peter Pan
Dumbo

I'm thinking it's asking too much to try and get all 4 rides in during the MM hour, but could we do 3, maybe?? What do people think??

Thanks!
Amy

We used a MM for Nemo the first week it opened last year. We got on the first sub out for the morning. After the ride we were still able to do Buzz and Space Mountain. The lines in Fantasyland were already pretty long at that point (Peter Pan gets long pretty quick, so does Dumbo!).

So for us doing it that way was 3 rides total.

Without doing Nemo we easily would get in ALL of the FL rides, and Buzz too!

Realistically, if you aren't on the first 3 or 4 subs (with no breakdowns), you could be riding just Nemo that first hour.

However, if you are on one of those first few subs, you can probably get in a couple rides. I would not set my hopes on Peter Pan or Dumbo. Matterhorn maybe. It would be easier to hop on Mr. Toad, Pinocchio, Mad Tea Party, even Alice after Nemo.

Thanks for the replies! I figured Nemo plus the 3 others might be expecting too much, so I guess we'll just see how it goes with Nemo and then go from there (this will be our first time riding the subs so we definitely want to do that!). We have our RideMax itinerary starting at 8:00 with all the Fantasyland rides minus Matterhorn, Peter Pan, and Dumbo, but maybe I'll modify that a bit to include those three rides and exclude others just to give ourselves another option.

Less than a week and we'll be in Disneyland...can't wait!

Thanks again!
Amy

We just got back from DL this evening, and did Magic Morning both yesterday and today. Here's what we got done each day during Magic Morning:

Sat March 1st (it was a bit drizzly, so this may have helped):

Matterhorn (twice)
Nemo
Peter Pan
Mr. Toad

Today during Magic Morning we rode:

Nemo
Matterhorn (once)
Alice in Wonderland
Dumbo
Mr Toad

And for some reason today they didn't do the rope drop for the regular admission, but instead backed everyone up at the turnstyles, so we were able to get a bunch more rides in between park opening and around 9AM.

This was the first time in forever that we had gone on a weekend, and I actually found that the weekend Magic Mornings, which start at 7:00 AM were MUCH less crowded than the weekday Magic Mornings, which start at 8 or 9, so it was much easier to pack a lot in.

Ooooh....that's encouraging to hear! Thanks for the report! We'll be there this coming Sunday which is Daylight Savings, so although the park will open at 7:00 am, it will feel like 6:00 am!!! Maybe the crowds will be lighter because people won't rembember to "spring forward"...I just hope we won't be one of them! :rotfl: We plan on going to bed early the night before so we'll be all ready to get up and go....early!!! :thumbsup2

I noticed too on a Sunday that we went, they didn't let everyone on Main Street for rope drop. They actually had park opening at the turn styles.
They picked a family to "open the park." On any other weekday that I've been, they do the Main Street rope drop...weird...

When i had MM for 2 days, we did Nemo on one of them (because we found ourselves the first people on Main St). We were on the first Sub & were off the sub at the :35 min. mark. We then rode Buzz twice & then Alice (short wait) & Toadie.

IMO, do PP & Dumbo on a day you DON'T do Nemo (if you're doing Nemo during MM). On PP day (whether it is during MM or on a non-MM day), DO PP first (preferably one of the first 20-30 families on)....& Dumbo second.

Fwiw, I rate Nemo a third tier ride (behind virtually all FL rides), but i understand the need to "DO" it.

Have fun.

I just did Nemo for the first time on Sunday night and LOVED it!! :woohoo: I've probably been over a dozen times since Nemo opened but was never willing to wait. We got in line at 11:15 Sunday night and had a 15 minute wait.

We were there at rope drop (right at the front) on Monday (no MM) and 90% of the people RAN to Nemo. Crazy! It made the first hour of a regular day in Fantasyland empty. Awesome! So if for some reason you can't get to Nemo on MM, go way late at night. I know lots of people didn't like Nemo, but I thought it was great. I am a big fan of the characters, though. I won't wait more than 30 minutes for it- but I won't wait more than that for anything, anyway! :rotfl:
