They were there week before 4th of July going to CSR.
Said they took ME and it was horrible, she said the bus driver got lost twice!! And they were on the bus for more then 2 hours to get to the resort. The bus driver had to stop along the rode once because he took a wrong turn & seemed very confused!
She said never ever again, she was quite furious about it when telling me.

However, we are going in November & I have faith that her's was a "fluke", and mishaps happen, but I trust our experience will be just fine. I hope ! pixiedust: :tinker: :dogdance: :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive:

We used ME last August and will be using it again. We had no problems whatsoever. I have heard several horror stories but I will just hope that they do a good job for us again.

We've used it 3 times now with no problems .I know they ( Both Disney and Mears ) are having a lot of turnover in the Trans department so yes they might have gotten a new driver it happens.

We did a split this trip 3 on ME and 2 of us on the rental van . I checked the ladies into ME put them in line then went and got the Express line rental .They arrived at SSR a few minutes before we pulled up so it was a good trip for them.

We jsut used it last week and it was AWESOME. We arrived at 8:20 a.m and were at the hotel 9! Our bags were in the room when we got back from the pool! It was so great to not have to worry about the bags.

Yeh, I wouldn't let a frustrating experience with one poorly-trained employee decide what businesses I will or won't use. If I did that, I'd have to grow my own food, make my own clothes, NEVER go to Disney World theme park or stay at a Disney World resort, and so on. In my life I've had a bad experience with just about every company I can think of.

I had literally the WORST customer service experience of my life last May, trying to get into Mickey's PhilharMagic. That CM accused me of lying, was sarcastic and dishonest himself, and generally ruined our time for about an hour. By the OP's neighbor's standards, I'd never go back to WDW again, or at least MK.

Now, if I thought DME was poorly conceived that's one thing, but if it was just one bozo driver then I wouldn't indict the entire system as worthless.

Gee, they don't happen to be from NY do they?

My SIL, BIL & their DS travelled there last Thurs (last week) and they had the same story, their plane got in a little after 12AM & they rode around for a few hours while the driver got lost finding resort after resort. I believe they eventually got off the bus and found another way to CSR!

It's an unfortunate experience, but thankfully it's a rare one too.

We've all been new at a job, and experienced the new job nervousness... forgetting what your trainer taught you, etc.

I just hope that the new person called on the radio to ask for help, rather than get even more lost trying to find his/her way.

we have also used ME with no issues an dwill be using them again in august
for the first time we arent renting a car
we wanna take our time and use disney transportation
i am not worried

There is only one thing wrong with a perfect world.......It doesn't exist.

Somewhere, something is going to go wrong. Hopefully this driver has improved or is no longer there. Tell her to give it another try.

Our experience was completely the opposite. In the time it normally takes us to get our bags, wait in line at the car rental counter, get our rental car, check it out, look at a map and find our way to Disney, we were checked in to our resort and having Disney fun. No issues with our driver and it was great sitting back after a long tiring plane ride and letting somebody else do the driving.

Our trip back from the resort did take awhile. The driver didn't get lost but since we were the first stop, POR, the driver did have to pick up at POFQ, Old Key West, and Saratogo Springs before we were on our way. So, that would be something you should plan for.

We loved not driving all week and only had one issue with Disney transportation. The line to go back to POR one night from Downtown Disney was extremely long and the buses just weren't keeping up. I believe we waited close to an hour. But, I learned next time to get the bus over by the east entrance, and not the one closer to Pleasure Island, The first pickup is the east entrance and few seats available by the time it gets to the 2nd pickup spot.

YES We are still going to use DME come November despite my neighbors nasty remarks!!
I too believe there will always be some flaws to anything.......

My neighbor stayed at Coronado Springs, they were there for her daughters Karate Tournament, she said their luggage didn't arrive at their room for so long, they almost missed the start of the tourny (poor planning on her part I think)

I asked her if she read up & researched WDW "stuff" before going & she said "No, why would I do that?".......So there ya' go, she just doesn't "get" WDW and from the details of her vacation they were "lost" wandering around and became miserable !!
I was getting angry listening to her complain & be so negative about WDW, but I held my tongue cause I didn't want to get into a debate with her (and her lack of Disney Magic!)
It's True I am Addicted to WDW !! :woohoo:
I Love Doing My WDW Homework !!!! :joker: pirate: :hippie: :butterfly

When we stayed at BWV back in Nov '04, we arrived on Thanksgiving Day. It was all a bit hectic, it took forever for them to find us a villa, they kept putting us in rooms that were already occupied..not sure why. But, we had 5:30 ADRs at Chef Mickeys for Thanksgiving dinner. It was about 4:30 when we finally got into a room. The manager, Alfredo, told us to freshen up and come down to the lobby, where they would have someone drive us directly to the Contemporary. Great. So down we go at about 4:50...we had really rushed around. We hop into a 'company' van, and off we go. Well, for those of you familier with the BW area, as you come of the entrance road, you take a right, and then a right onto the roadway over to MK. Our driver missed that second right, got on the highway going in the complete opposite direction!!! The poor kid almost died of embarrassment. We did get to CM's with about 2 mins to spare. But it just goes to show that sometimes the drivers get all discombobulated...of course you wouldn't think a DME bus driver would, but I guess it happens.
WE have always had good service on DME...so far, so good.

Bravo to you! I learned some time ago that if I have a WDW question, I ask the dis-folks . . . not my neighbors. We enjoyed DME during our May '06 trip and would definitely do again. Just make sure to pack a bag because it did take several hours for our luggage to arrive.

We've used it twice now without incident. We plan to use it again in October. :thumbsup2

I'd be upset too if the DME motorcoach driver kept getting lost.

I would think that that particular driver has learned his way around by now — or is no longer driving for DME.

Heck, I'll have all my maps with me so I can navigate if we get lost!!! LMAO :thumbsup2

Dum, Dum, Dum,Dum--- Time to pull out the passporter!!!!!! :rotfl:

We have taken ME on four trips to Disney with good experiences each time. MCO to Hotel within 45 minutes each time.

:goodvibes :goodvibes

I think the positive feedback out-weighs the bad experiences !! GOOD !!!
We have a group of 10 ppl traveling together ( 3 families )......I hope we have an easy DME adventure!
IS it true they show a video or something while riding on the bus ???? :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive: :drive:

we are using the me in september but we are renting a car too. Do you recommend putting some of your party on the bus and then the others getting the car ? Would you take the 2yr old to get the car or put her on the bus with the others ??
