Neighbor Just Did Magical Express & Hated It !!

we are using the me in september but we are renting a car too. Do you recommend putting some of your party on the bus and then the others getting the car ? Would you take the 2yr old to get the car or put her on the bus with the others ??

I'm not quite sure why you'd bother with DME if you're renting a car. I'm guessing it's to lighten the luggage load, that all the luggage AND all the people won't fit in the car.

The two year old situation depends on your personal preference. I'd decide on safety, but then again I honestly don't know which is safer, a child in a child safety seat in a small-ish car, or a child in her own bus seat (or on someone's lap) on a huge, upholstered motorcoach.

For the record, my wife and I are very safety conscious. I work with accident victims (so I see all the terrible results every day), and my wife is a pediatrician. We had no problem taking DME with our 2.5 year old and 5 year old on DME last May, and will do the same in November with our 4 year old and 6.5 year old. But like I said, it's a personal decision.

I have 2 little ones too, ages 5 & 7 (princesses) and safety is a good consideration......
