Negativity on the boards

I'd love to post my thoughts on the matter but I don't have time right now. I've been trying to get thru on the phone and the website to make reservations for December with the "free" dining package and just.....can..........not.....get......thru.

Happy thoughts....happy thoughts.....happy thoughts........

Why people cannot fathom the simple thought of going elsewhere with that money instead of WDW if they feel the product is so terribly substandard is beyond me.

Chipped paint? An animatronic not working? A dreaded burnt out bulb? Lies about Bob Iger?

You mean like Rome, Florence, Siena, Switzerland, London, Bath, Burgundy, Paris, Napa, Sonoma, Big Sur, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas, Zion... Got it covered over the last few years. But it's not because the product is so substandard -it's more that we do see enough changes, that make us feel it's fine to spend our money doing other things ...and I think everyone should.

I believe most of the criticisms are from guests who have been visiting for years. You can't tell me the person who has been visiting for 30 years doesn't see more "negative" changes Than the guest who started visiting 5-years ago. Do you realize there was a time when an animatronic NEVER would have been down for a few days ...let alone for years. So for those long time guests that is a legitimate concern.

It's all relative I suppose -so no one is wrong.

I was there last month and rode SB on Winnie the Pooh ( 10 minute wait) in the evening. NONE of the animitronics or narration were working. When we got off the ride I told the CM. He said they knew and someone was coming over to fix it. Here's my question: Why did the ride remain open? IMO it should've beeen closed.

Nothing in the ride was working?! And they knew it wasn't, and kept it running? Wow. That's totally unacceptable. Yes, rides break down...that's inevitable. But keeping them running while knowing that they are broken down...that's what's unacceptable. Did you speak to a supervisor or Guest Relations? That's crazy.

Agreed. And to my point, as someone who has visited for 30 years, it's not acceptable. And the reason it was done was most likely to just continue to jam people into an attraction, rather than have them congest other attractions. That's bad....

Spoke to a supervisor, but I don't know if it had any effect. I really felt sorry for the people using FP+ for the attraction. Yes, it is about keeping the guests entertained and away form other attractions.
