Needing help....

We will be visiting in December and want to take in Grinchmas. How much time do we need to allow? We are traveling with our 5 year old and almost 2 year old. We mostly want to see the Christmas stuff and ride kid friendly rides.

Are there Character meals and if so what characters?

Do both Universal and IOA have the same characters?

Thanks for any tips you can provide!

The main Grinchmas show (which tells the tale of how the Grinch stole Christmas) is about 45 minutes long (including the preshow). The rest of the time, you can wander around Seuss Landing to check out the decorations and interact with the Whoville residents. I would spend about 1/2 day.

USF and IOA have different characters.

The only character meal is at PBH. I can't recall the details at the moment.

Just wanted to add that all 3 on-sites have a character meal for dinner on different days. Best to call ahead closer to December for the exact days and times.

We went to Grinchmas last December and I have to say, it was the absolute best holiday event we experienced while in Orlando. I can not rave about how much we enjoyed it - even in cold, windy, wet weather! You will not be disappointed in any way! I recommend the children watch The Grinch movie and get familiar with it before you go. Also, if you're going to Universal, take them to see Santa there. He was the jolliest, rosey cheek Santa I've ever seen!

Yep, Universal does have an excellent Santa.

Also, after you see the Grinchmas show...don't forget to go inside his house to meet him personally and get you photos with him. The photos turn out excellent and the house is very cool.

How bad is Christmas day? We can considering going on Christmas if the crowds are not crazy.
