I have my own PTR started. It is titled, "I must be completely insane or not!".

I need help with my PTR on two key things, perhaps one of my fellow Trip Report writers can help. I have tried creating new threads for help on these topics and have checked out numerous stickies with no luck. I think I must be missing the information somewhere.

Long, long ago, in a galaxy here on the DIS there used to be a sticky that told how to post photos and make links. I can't find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would appreciate it.

First, I would like to post a link to my PTR in my signature (so that it shows up in all my posts).

Second, I need help posting photographs.

I have tried creating new threads for help on these topics and checked out stickies to no luck.

For the photgraphs, I know I have to post the photos on a host site.

What are some sites people use. Photobucket or something else? Is it free? What size of photos did you indicate on photobucket?

Third, I have a countdown tag in my signature. However, it modifies and changes the countdown date on all my previous posts as well as the current day's posts. So, now every one of my posts (even those several months old) show the same exact countdown date. :rotfl2: What have I done wrong?:confused3

Hi there. I am new here & writing my first PTR as well. If you go to the home page, at the very bottom is a section for Tech Support. You can find answers to a lot of your questions there.

The main thread that has helped me is this one. It has links to a lot of different threads (like help for posting photos, signatures, etc). http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2770

I personally put my photos on Shutterfly. It is free. I do have a resizing program that I use first before I upload, but a lot of digital cameras come with some sort of simple editing software now.

My countdown clock changes on all of my posts too. I guess I never thought about it.

Good luck!

I appreciate your feedback and directions to the Tech thread. I knew I had to have missed something.
