Ok. . .here's our plan, loosely based on the current weekend show times. We recognize that show times do vary, but the times for Sat and Sun seemed fairly consistent, so we used those to lay out our "plan".

We've got two days (Sat & Sun April 26 & 27). We've got other plans for evening and kids want to go back to hotel in afternoon (staying at Nick hotels and kids want to have some hours at the pools). We have done our homework and identified the things we can't miss. . . but feel free to point it out if our plan has overlooked something we shouldn't miss.

Saturday

Arrive to park 8:30 and at gates well before 9:00

Into park - pick up map and head to Dolphin Cove to feed the dolpins.

Head to Sharks Underwater Grill for priority seating time (hopefully 11:45)

Visit Clydesdale Hamlet & Wild Arctic

10:30 - Into Shamu Stadium for 11:00 Believe show

After show, to Shark's for lunch (hopefully)

12:45ish - trip through shark tunnel then Pacific Point Preserve to feed sealions

1:30 to Sea Lion and Otter Stadium for 2:00 Clyde and Seamore show

Head back to entrance for ice cream at Polar Parlor, shopping then back to hotel.

Sunday

Early to parking lot
9:00 Into park - back to Dolphin Cove for dolphin feeding again.

Check out Alligators and Manatee Rescue

Ride Atlantis

10:30 to Whale and Dolphin theatre for 11:00 Blue Horizons show

11:45 to Seaport theatre for 12:15 Pets Ahoy show.

12:45ish lunch (thinking SeaFire Inn)

After lunch, check out dolphin nursery, stingray lagoon, turtle point

To entrance for any leftover shopping and back to hotel.

Interested in knowing if we are arriving for shows too early. We don't have any interest in sitting in the splash zones. Also, are we allowed to take snacks from other parts of the park into the stadiums - specifically into Believe.

TIA :thumbsup2

Something that MAY change in March/April. Elmo and the gang will be back this spring. It looks like they may be sharing the theatre with Pets Ahoy. So the Pets show schedule may change a bit.

That's good information. . . uuuummm, is Elmo a show?? I've not heard of this before. My kids are 15, 11, 9 so may not be interested, but, then again, who knows :confused3 Now we know to anticipate a possible change, and I will continue to peruse the weekend scheduling beginning in March.

Other than that, does our itinerary look doable? We used the map to help with logistics and to prevent just randomly running around wasting time and energy. Last time we went, we didn't really plan very well and we felt like we missed too much. That was 4 years ago and I've learned alot since then :thumbsup2

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot - am I correct that SW opens at 9:00 and not before? We have our tickets in hand, so no issues there.

And do you pick up your map/schedule right inside the front gate to the left. . . by customer service??

The parks normally opens at 9. If you go into the main entrance you can also pick up a map just to the right near the photo area. (You can also view a map online at SW's website)

Yes Elmo is a show.

The only suggestion I would make is trying to see the Sea Lion nighttime show. It is one of my favorites. Basically they do a parody of all the other shows in the park.

Yes, you can bring food into shamu stadium. We do it all the time. There is also a food place in shamu stadium where you can by nachos, pretzels, churros, cookies drinks.
Also you might want to check out the underwater viewing for the killer whales. It is fun and if you are lucky the baby orcas could be in there and interact with your kids.

thanks for the dolphin feeding info. . . I have read about a billion different places that you must go to the dolphin area FIRST THING if you want to feed the dolphins. So. . . I assumed that really meant FIRST THING. . . as in as soon as the park opens at 9:00. Knowing that's not actually the case kinda throws a wrench in our planning, huh? Since my kids really, really want to feed the dolphins, we will have to rearrange one of the big shows to accommodate that. Any suggestions? :confused3

We have been to Seaworld pretty much during most months of the year and with on exception the first dolphin feed was always either at 9:15 or 9:30. The only exception was last November when they had some kind of medical issue with one of the dolphins and therefore the area was closed until later in the day.

Oh well, I guess I was wrong but whenever I go the feedings are always around 10:30 ish. Last time I went the first feeding was at 11. I guess it depends what day. I am going on Monday so i can look.

If your kids our over about 8 and they are boys they probably would like kraken

My kids are all girls, all over the age of 8, but not one of them is a coaster fan. Having said that, they all race dirt bikes and quads with the best of the boys! :thumbsup2
