True ... but should her daughter want to go far in business or politics then I think a goofy name is a detriment. Not everyone can overcome a name like "Condoleezza" or "Barack" and I am sure that both of them worked harder to prove themselves because of their names. There is no reason to put more roadblocks in place for your children just because they might want to be a bartender.
This post is from JANUARY and just got bumped. I'm betting Baby (Insert First Name) Ruth probably has been born and already has a name.![]()
For middle names I like to get a little creative, especially since I read that 80% of girls born since 1990 have the same 6 middle names.
Really? That's so interesting! Do you have any idea as to what they were?

#1 Marie
#2 Rose
#3 Elizabeth
#4 Anne
#5 Lynn
#6 Grace
#7 Anna

#9 May
#10 Christine
I'm trying to find the article and I can't...it does not take into account different spellings, and IIRC they were Ann, Elizabeth, Nicole, Jo, Grace, and either Kay or Rose (or maybe both and it was 7?).
Name Nerds has a good article on middle names. I find it interesting that boys are usually given family names as middle names, but girls are usually given "filler" names. My middle name is Eileen, and I gave my daughter an interesting middle name too - Theta.
Aisling Ruth is nice.![]()
I love the name Aisling! Have you ever seen the movie The Secret of Kells? That is one of DD's favorite movies, and "Aisling" apparently frequently comes over to play. I have a super Irish maiden name, and one of my brothers says he hopes his future wife will let him name their kids super Irish names like Aisling and Saoirse.
