We are going to WDW 11/14 for seven days. We were planning on staying in a Interval International resort for the week using a "getaway" option. For a strange reason the prices jumped over the last 2 weeks causing me to look for other options outside of II. They have since returned to "normal" prices
($500-$700 for the week). While searching and reading various posts I checked out the Windsor Hills resorts and LOVED the fact that I could get a true 3 bedroom (not a pullout) since it will be my 4 year old twins, DH and I and my fabulous MIL. I really wanted to have a separate space for her if possible. Anyway, II has the Star Island Resort, Cypress Point Resort, and Marriott Imperial Palm listed as available 3 bedrooms. I can't figure out how far from WDW these are (certainly not close enough to see the epcot dome or I assume they would be bragging about that;) ) I can get the II options a little cheaper but if the drive and quality is not the same then...So, any feedback or comparisons btw the II options and the Windsor Hills options would be greatly appreciated!

with Marriott Imperial you just might.

depends upon which side it is on. the Marriott's World center - where it is located is about as close as you can get.

Cypress Pointe is close too - but not tall enough to see the SpaceShip Earth. they are about 1/2 mile from DD hotels - where you can see the dome.

imperial is a true 3-bedroom

the third bedroom is smaller.

If you are after a true 3 bedroom, you might want to consider Worldquest. I stayed there a couple of years ago and it was great. Very easy to get to WDW while at the same time, being in a quiet out of the way location.

Is there any chance you can get Bonnet Creek (1, 2, 3, or 4BR units)? You mentioned Star Island, and I think they are both Fairfield, so I thought it might be a possibility. If you can, it's perfect. We watched the fireworks from our balcony every night (from MK and Epcot both)! :thumbsup2

(You do have to request fireworks view though.)

As far as I know, Bonnett Creek only trades with RCI. I just booked it today for our October trip. I was holding out to see if I could get a Disney resort, but only Saratoga Springs showed up for that week, and it was just a 1br. We probably wouldn't take advantage of the EMH, so our 2br at Bonnett Creek is probably a better fit for our family.
