Need WDW photo place tips...

This would be my first trip to Disney and I really want to take photos of ALL the fireworks and the castle.

Can anyone offer where to set up my tipod (for night shots) at all the parks. I need to start planning my photo now my trip is next month...

For Wishes in the MK, I like to get a spot in the middle of the street just up from the ice cream shop. It is a good place to see the castle and the fireworks. For a side view, I go to the bridge from the castle to tomorrow land, not a bad spot either.
I never use a tri-pod, too many people, so I can't give you much help on that. I also like to take night shots of the castle from the bridge leading to frontier land.

At Magic Kingdom for Wishes I liked the 2nd or 3rd trash can on the left just past Casey's Corner going toward the Castle. I set my tripod on top of the trash can. My travel tripod is on the small side so without the legs extended it was the perfect height for me on top of the trash can. You'll have to claim your spot about 2 hours prior to Wishes start, but its a great view.

After that you can roam around fairly easily with the camera still on the trippd to get different night shots of the castle. Keep in mind that it does change colors. I don't know how often. Maybe every 5 minutes. Also getting real close and keeping the tripod not fully extended can get some different angle's. Though there are some people who prefer to lay down on their back right on the ground in front of the castle to get a good shot.

I've found that the pillars on the bridge just after the ice cream shop and Casey's work really well, too. Stand behind one and, generally, even if someone stands in front of you, you've still got a pretty clear line of sight. Also, they are high enough to give you something to rest the camera on or rest your elbows on to steady the camera (if you don't have a tripod).
