need vacation home help!

I am just beginning the process of renting a vacation home/villa for 2 weeks next August. I would prefer to stay onsite but we are meeting UK relatives so there will be 5 of us altogether and we need the extra space this time. There will be 3 kids who will be 10, 13 and 16 at the time. We want to have a pool and I dread the drive into WDW so I want to be as close as possible!
What I need to know is where do I find a map that shows the location of the vacation home subdivisions? I have been on rental sites which say things like only 3 minutes to WDW but I'd would prefer to see it on a map before I believe them!
I am in charge of renting this place so I really don't want to blow it! My DD and I have been to WDW the last two years in a row and she is so excited to be able to go with her cousins this time.
Any help or advice will be appreciated!

We will be looking for a vacation home for 2 weeks next April/May. We usually stay on-site, but there are more people going this time, so it is more economical to rent a house. The whole thing makes me nervous though - can anyone recommend a place to find a vacation home? Thanks

Briarpatchvilla.com has had excellent reviews from other disers and we'll be staying here in Jan, 06. The owners name is Jennifer and has been very nice and responds very quickly to emails! Hope this helps.

We found a great home via orlandovillas.com.

We rented www.emeraldfootprints.com and loved it. The same U.K. family now also owns a larger house in Emerald Island, I think 7 bedrooms, which you can check out onthe website. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

emerald Island is about as close as you can get to WDw property -- 5 minutes to AK. We usually stay on site but loved this home!
