Need Tutu Help QUICK please

A question for you Dis'er crafters.......I'm making a tutu for a race and I was wondering how wide the strips of tule should be. I really don't want a really big wide tutu, I'm just looking for a little sparkle.

I use 6 inch strips on all the tutu's I make and they come out well.
