Hello,
MY son is flying solo to meet some friends in Orlando. He will need transportation from MCO to Universal Resort then from Disney resort back to MCO. Uber seems to be $88 one way which is crazy! Is there a cheaper option to get him to and fro? He is not a registered guest at the disney resort so the magic shuttle is not an option to him. He is only visiting the disney resort. Thanks for any suggestions......

I just looked it up and Lyft is only about $35 from MCO to Universal. From Universal to Disney, it's about $25 (give or take, depending on what resorts you're staying at). Then from Disney to MCO, it's about $40 (again give or take, depending on the resort).

Another option would be to take Universal's Take Two Transfers from MCO to Universal and then from Universal to Disney. That would be $39 total for both legs. Then from Disney to MCO, he could do the Mears Connect shuttle for $16.50.

If you are referring to the Magical Express transportation for Disney resort guests, that's no longer available for anyone. That was discontinued earlier this year.

I just saw that you mentioned he isn't a registered guests at Disney. Is he a registered guest at Universal? If so, he can add Take Two transfers to his package or resort stay online or by calling. If he isn't a guest there, he won't be able to use this service.

I'm a little concerned that your son is traveling solo but can't figure out his own ground transpo... How old is he?

Don't be concerned he is 21 and I am helping him figure it out while he study's for finals. Looking for the most economical way.
I think part of the problem is trying to price Uber in advance. It's not really set up to work that way and they charge you a ton extra for it. It's set up to be ordered right when you need it.

Uber and Lyft use dynamic pricing, charge what the market will pay.
An example
