*** I buy the balsamic at our grocery store - it has a sour taste to it - I found a store that let you taste balsamic... COMPLETELY won me over!!
so take a plate to arrange, a slice of fresh mozzerella, a slice of tomato, and a sprig of Basil - or take a few basil leaves, roll them up and slice them thin - and sprinkle over that salad - add salt and pepper too! ***
Yes! You get what you pay for when you buy balsamic vinegar!!! It is worth it to spend more and buy a little more expensive stuff, but good stuff tastes a little sweet. I watched a show a while back about Italy and they will actually put the stuff on their ice cream!!! I've also made strawberry vinagrette w/ balsamic & strawberries, and sweeten it up a bit w/ sugar or splenda.....it is REALLY good - those two ingredients are just made for each other.
We do the tomatoes & sliced mozz once a while too.......YUM.
