My dh just got fired for taking serious advantage of his company time. He is a driver for a big company here for almost 10 years. He hated his bosses but had a great salary and benefits that rocked. They put a gps in his truck with no warning :sad2:. He was caught speeding and making numerous stops home and at his Moms etc. He never drove out of his way to do these things or left his work but did them after his deliveries.Stealing time is stealing time. His union told him to grieve it as it should not be terms for termination but suspension. He went along with it and even called managers and president to apologize and beg for the job back but they said no because he could not be trusted. He screwed up..lost 5 weeks vacation etc. He did get another job with about the same pay but I cannot help but be so upset. I just cancelled a Dis trip for Oct. not a biggie as we just were there in March but so disappointed and sick. I hope this job works out

Sorry to read this, Kathy,

Many companies now have a zero tolerance for certain behaviors and there is no chance to make things better. I'm happy that your husband got another job so quickly.

I hope the new job works out for your husband.
We all make mistakes and I am sorry that your family has had to deal with this difficult situation.

Best wishes for the future.

I am so sorry, but glad he landed another job..

I have a question... can they just put a tracking device in your truck?? Is that the same as recording a phone conversation prior to the conversation? In other words, when you call your insurance company, they may say this phone call is being recorded for whatever reasons and so you are forewarned.. I truly am wondering about his rights.. how about a warning first? I have no clue on unions etc.. just wondering..
