After reading these posts, I am starting to wonder if I invited myself on my brother's up-coming trip.
He did invite me, but only after I asked if I could come.
Several years ago, my brother invited me to join him and his family on a trip to WDW. (This time it was his idea to ask me, and I had not even given any hints that I might like to come).
I wanted to invite my other nephew, Nicholas (my sister's son), who was about 9 at the time. My Brother was hesitant (at first). The problem was, that a few years prior, I had told Nicholas, that as soon as I graduated from college, and had a good job, we would go to Disney World. So I knew that I couldn't go without Nicholas.
Nicholas was much more hyper then any of my brothers children, who were very calm and well behaved.
My brother did allow Nicholas to come, as long as Nicholas' mother (our sister) also came. So I paid for my Sister, Myself and Nicholas and my Brother paid for his family.
We all had a great time.
This was my first trip to WDW in many years, and is the trip that started my current addiction.
Since that trip I have taken several other nieces and nephews to WDW and to DisneyLand.
My brother is my only sibling that I have never actually treated to WDW (he always pays is own way). So I wanted to treat him to the room.
He insists on paying his share. I can admire this. However, this means I will get two studios when I really want to get a 2 bedroom.
I was able to show him that the points I will use for my DVC reservation, really did cost me less then what he would have paid for the Pop Century.
