 Let me know how they turned out and post pics if you can. I have started getting all the gkids pages organized to I can print and take to Staples in a few weeks. Now I will be :hyper: until I hear how your turned out. Good luck

How are you having them printed - as 4 x 6 or bigger and then cutting them? I looked into getting them printed 2 on a sheet in my Staples and then I figured I would cut them myself, but it was going to get expensive because my kids are character freaks and need to see every character possible. Ii am just curious if there are other options I missed.

I've got it printed on 8.5 x 11 cardstock, b/c that was the easiest cardstock option. I'm thinking I won't bind it, just clip it with an O-ring, to make it easier to flip the pages flat for writing while we're there. Then I can put them in a photo album or whatever when we get home. I'll leave part of the plain margin on to put the o-ring through. Or at least that's the plan--I sound like I know what I'm talking about, don't I? ;) We'll be going to pick it up as soon as the kids finish their chores (if I don't suspend all privileges and treats as a result of the whining and delaying...of course these are just as much my treat as theirs!!).

I have 3 4x6 autograph books to make. I will print them out myself on heavy cardstock two to a page. I can cut them at work. Then I was going to take to Staples to have them bind on the side. When we get back I can cut the left border off and then they can use in scrapbook. Does anyone else know who will bind beside Staples. Have no idea how much it will be either

Staples in Canada has a price list on line and I know I saw a price for the cerlox binding. I bet you'd find the same...

A wee update, I picked up the printing and I love the way it looks! Staples did a super job, and I paid $11 for 18 standard-size cardstock sheets (which each have two nice big 4x6 prints). So much better than I could've done at home, or anything short of the big print shop at work. I'll trim them tomorrow and try to find the o rings I'm thinking of...I'll post a pic when I can.

Now I'm going to go put together the autograph books. :goodvibes

Glad that you are pleased with the printing. Can't wait to see the finished product.
Have a good night

Bette

Thanks for the info. I am sure they look great. I have a lot more than 18 pages so I don't think it would pay for me. I have over 40 pages (with 2 cards on each page) per kid. They love to stop for every character we see.

I am not going to bind mine either. Someone else suggested just sliding them in the pages of a 4 x 6 photo album and taking out the one you need at the time and clipping it to the front of the book for the character to lean on. I think I am going to try that.

Ok, first time posting pics...

I've got two Epcot passports and two autograph books now for our Sept trip. Thank you disigners for all the wonderful disigns (mostly Natalie, but I know I have chaos1cent's Ohana cards and maybe some others...lovely, all). :goodvibes

I printed them through Staples on 8.5 x 11 cardstock, two per page. I left the margins on so I can trim them later if they get beat up. And I used the metal rings so I can re-organize easily, and also so they'll lay flat. If I had it to do again I'd try to leave the "ring-space" at the tops of the cards, as we are all left-handed in this house.
Gotta work on my photog skills...but anyway...

Autograph book covers. I used Natalie's cover blank and personalized.

I've got about 40 pp for autographs including our 3 character meals, Pixie Hollow blanks, and "blanks" for the various parks and some just cute generic. (We've got lots of autographs from previous trips, and other than the character meals I don't plan on any specific "character hunts", so the generic ones work well.)

Epcot Passports. DD wanted the princess one. I made ds the two-page one, as he's old enough to gather more info. I may make it his "school project". :teacher:

And back cover, again from Natalie's blanks.

Really excited about how they turned out. I'm going to get some sleeves/plastic envelopes to put them in in our park backpack. Now on to the t-shirts. :woohoo:

I took mine to KINKO's & they charged me $5.49 per book to bind it. Here are some pics:

Those look amazing!

Awesome job! I know I would be JUST as excited as you are/were!!!
I was thinking about using Staples (Canada) to print mine too but wasn't sure I could request Cardstock?! Did you just ask at the desk or did you use self serve? I see they have a special on 29 cents per color page on weekends but wasn't sure if that meant I could buy cardstock and use it.

Macduffy, I did it all online, uploaded it and selected the paper, so I only went in to pick it up. (MUCH better idea with kids in tow, and yours are younger than mine--and DON'T go to Staples this week, it's insanely busy!!) I selected "65 lb index" for paper, and got a decent card stock (not hugely stiff like a card cover, but I thought a good weight). I sent it in word and had no problems. (Except when I had something sort of "layered", text on top of an image, so then I went and did it in paint instead and inserted it as a whole picture file into my table in word.) Things stuck in place perfectly. You can do like a "print preview" after you upload it to make sure nothing went wonky.

Seriously, uploading it from home makes it so much easier, and I was able to pick it up in a couple of hours. I tried installing their "quick uploader" and couldn't get it working, so just used my word doc and the preview to make sure it looked as I expected.

Good luck!
