Need to rant as i can't book next disney trip yet :(

Hi all,
Hope everybody had a fab Xmas wether you was in Disney or home in the cold!

I haven't been able to face coming on the boards for a while as I've just been struggling with Disney blues so badly!

Normally I would have booked another trip for the yr after which would be 2014 Or if I thought we could afford it I'd book for this yr BUT.... I can't book anything or even think about when we can go next as I have no idea where we will be living :

As most of you know hubby is RAF and so we have just hit our 3yr mark which is when we get ready to move AGAIN!
we actually should have moved by now , but last yr we got told we could be going to the US for our next posting, we should have gone in the June but DH 3 yr here wasn't up so we had to wait we then got told we would know by December but As i was sick and had the Op in July it was not the best idea! so now we are in limbo and its killing me lol
We have to now wait until march to see if we have the US posting which if yes we will move in August!! so you can see I can't book as I have no idea on
1. Where we will fly from
2.even if I book accomadations only I don't know when hubby would get leave ( don't want that stress again after this holidays issues with leave)

So what do you guys do when you have no idea when you can go back!

I'd make mock plans for October 2014 thinking that I'd be living some place by then lol and would have been at either posting long enough to be allowed to choose leave for then.... But then comes the fact that I know if we was in the states we would proberly not go for 3wk trips like we do now as we would make the most if being slightly closer and choose times we haven't visited like Xmas!!

The blues are driving me insane! Plus our tenant trashed our house so we have decided not to rent out again incase we move to the US for 3yrs and so are trying to sell our house in Newquay stressful times that make you want to cry every time the blinking Disney advert comes on!

Hi Tinker,

I can completely understand your situation. My DH is also RAF so know the perils. We have always been wary when booking holidays but just made sure we have the correct travel insurance so we are covered if we have to cancel due to operational issues such as posting and dets ect.

Although it may seem a long way off March will soon be here and you will know where you will be going and you will be able to plan your holiday I hope you get the posting you want

Wow what a coincidence!!

I miss home so much, it's even more gutting as I rented stupidly to a friend! ( no I know why they say never to rent to friends) lol

I think what's driving me Insane is the fact if we get Virginia yes ill be thrilled but then I won't be able to book until we know when he can take leave, we very nearly lost our holiday last yr due to leave being cancelled I know insurance covers so much but it doesn't cover the plans you made haha.
And like any Disney fanatic when my plans are messed with I'm a mess!

Are you based at St Mawgan? That's how I met my DH

My hubby is at portreath. We love it down here.

Wow virginia that would be different. I hope you get what you want and you manage to be able to book your holiday.

Hey yes I finally plucked up the courage to come back on!
I couldn't bare to look at all these holiday plans knowing I couldn't make any we must get together soon for a night in as its flown by, been stuck on camp for days due to the weather camp was not gritted and so was like an ice-rink!
