Hello All

I need some serious help. My son and I now have the opportunity to go to Disney October 26-October 30th…..this was not a planned trip and I need to do this on a tight budget. I would love to stay on property but I am open to any place that has ok transportation to the parks or would be willing to rent a car if I had some ideas about how the parking works at the parks. I need you help to plan this last minute budget vacation. I also need to know about tickets – I expect we would go the parks 2-3 days and willing to hop or not hop depending on cost.

Staying at one of the Disney Value resorts can probably be the easiest way to go and at a good value. Travelocity shows the value resorts at $98.97 per night - stay at Pop Century and you'll save 1% in tax because they are in a county with a lower tax rates. The All-Stars are just over the county line.

Going with a Disney hotel gives you the free shuttle service from the Orlando International Airport and it is nice to check your bags all the way through to the room. It's nice & safe for a woman and child too and then you have use of the buses to the parks. You won't need a rental car.

www.mousesavers.com is a great place to check for deals. There is a discount code but you have to book by Sept.30. Call 407-WDisney and request code ZBG for Magic Your Way or ZBH for Magic Your Way Plus Dining. You can ask for the price w/out making a commitment on the spot.

If you can avoid getting the hoppers, you'll save money. It's $50.00 per person for the hopping option. but that means skipping one park, if you go for three days.

You can also get small discounts on tickets through www.mapleleaftickets.com and www.ticketmania.com.

I hope this helps a little.

I would also suggest staying at a value resort so that you can get the free Magic Express service from airport to hotel. If you stay offsite and rent a car you'll have to pay to park at the parks.

There are some package discounts out there if you book park tickets with hotel stay. I think that would save you more than buying tickets from a broker if you can get those discounts.
