Need to Find Simba

Taking my boys to Disney World and my DS12 absolutely adores the Lion King. This year has been an extremely rough one for him, between the divorce moving away from friends he's known for so long, new school (middle school) etc. This is a treat for both (other is DS9). Anyways, any suggestions/tips on where to find (if at all) Simba in the park. I am going to assume only AK is where he is at.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

AK at the Lion King show is the only place I've ever seen Simba. He is remarkably interactive though. I've seen kids stay after the show to get their pictures taken with him and he nods at them and such. Your son will love it!

See the Lion King show at Animal Kingdom. Simba's in it. That's the only place we saw him. The only other characters from the movie that we saw walking around was Timon (at Magic Kingdom..entrance to Adventureland), and Rafiki (at Epcot.. he was on the bus).

Young Simba is in the film at Mickey's Philharmagic, too! No interaction, but he's in 3D!

I remember reading that the "character floats" used to stay out at the end of the Festival of the Lion King but don't any longer. They put them away before we were able to exit the theatre both times we've been there. Sorry but I don't remember seeing Simba anywhere else in the parks either.

Uh...they still stay out as guests exit. The only time they are removed before the guests exit is if it's raining outside or if there's a technical difficulty that needs time to be fixed.

funny - when we saw the FOTLK ealier this month, we were told to exit before the floats were put away...very first time that had happened to us...we always had to wait in the past for the floats to move.

pretty cool though...saw alot of kids getting their pictures taken!

Interesting, they've not stayed out either of the two times we've been there and there have been no weather issues. I think it's great that they are now staying out again stinkerbell. I wonder if it's a hit and miss thing?

Ironically on all my trips up to 2004 they always stayed out. We've seen this show twice this year spring and fall and they didn't stay out either time. No weather issue as it was a wonderful outside. However, on our previous trips they were always out, so not sure if we just hit 2 technical glitches or what. Still my favorite WDW show!

Like I said, they are only taken back early if it's raining or if there's a technical problem that needs to be worked on.
