Need to confirm info from MS

If I obtain a transfer of points from an owner of a resort other than what I own do I get a 7+ month booking advantage at that resort. I have seen conflicting info. MS told me yes just yesterday, but I want to make sure. Thanks!

Trnsferred points retains their resort and use year. For example, if your home resort is OKW and you transfer in 50 BLT points, you can book those 50 points at BLT during the 11-7 month window.
