We are going to be coming in really really early on 9/9 staying at POP. We are hoping to arrive about 8AM... Now I know we can't access the room, I just to make sure they will allow us to at least park and access the buses...... We're hoping to go right to the park..... Don't they offer a service to place a luggage in our room once the room has been assigned? We've never got there this early, I'm just hoping for the best.

You can check in online or at the desk any time the day of arrival. You can use the amenities. They will hold your luggage but they won't deliver it to your room without you requesting it. Honestly I know the only reason a value will have bell services is because of the whole luggage delivery from the airport, otherwise they wouldn't.

You can check in any time after 6 AM, although your room may not be ready. If you are flying into MCO and using Magical Express, your luggage will be placed in your room if you use the yellow tags. If you are arriving at a different airport or by a different means (e.g. car, train) you can leave your luggage with luggage assistance (bell services). When you return to the resort later in the day you can call luggage assistance and they will deliver it to your room, but you have to be in your room.

Thanks guys, that's what I needed to know. Don't care if they put the luggage in the room or not, just heard they would. As long as we can park and get on the bus.

FYI you are free to get on any Disney bus/boat/monorail even if you aren't staying at the resort it's going to. People who aren't staying at a particular resort take buses/boats/monorails to/from resorts they aren't staying at to visit & look around, shop or to have a meal all the time.

Was just there this week (ASSp). I put an 8 am arrival on my online check in. After I made my two requests I checked the box that room ready was more important than my requests. I got a text at 6:53 am that room was ready. I was able to go straight there and never the whole trip did I go to the front desk.

We've checked in as early at 6 a.m. (We drive and depending on stops or what-not it varies) and told them that we understand we don't have a room, we just wanted to get check-in and such out of the way before the rush and have access to the buses for the parks. We then had a quick breakfast and off we went to rope drop.

Well, no. Luggage Assistance isn't Bell Services, but just like every resort with Bell Services, they will store any guest's luggage until the room is ready. They deliver once the guest calls from the room, but on a schedule - not immediately like Bell Services.

Also like Bell Services, Luggage Assistance will store luggage for guests with late departures who aren't using RAC. Again, they pick up periodically instead of on demand, or guests can bring the luggage themselves.

Just remember: If you check "early arrival, give me first available," that means any location/floor requests become afterthoughts. It's not "I want X and Y OH and it needs to be there for me at 9AM." It's "yay I have a room at 9AM."

Well no what ? Disney calls it different names this will still be under the bell services dept which is what I meant. Yeah the service is a little different as come to expect from a hotel category, but basically they will take your luggage from and to the room and they will hold it in the bell closet. I don't see how it isn't different than what I said. I said they won't just drop off the luggage when his room is ready he will have to call when he gets there.

It's not what you said, though. You said the only reason a luggage department exists at Value resorts is due to Magical Express

You are correct it is the size of the resort but ME made that department grow. Before that I bet mostly runners took care of the bags. Otherwise in the hotel category the values are, they wouldn't offer it luggage assistance at all. But you didn't mention the above in your original answer .

I didn't say anything about the size of any resort.
The Value resorts did have Bell Services, just like all the other resorts.
Some years after the introduction of Magical Express, this was changed to the less personalized Luggage Assistance.
There is no cause and effect.
Value resorts would still have Luggage Assistance even if Magical Express were to cease to exist.
Value resorts would still have Laggage Assistance even if Magical Express had never been created.
There is a need for a luggage department/service/holding area at pretty much any hotel, anywhere.
