Hi everyone - we're planning our first visit to Universal. We'll be using ADR's at WDW for dinner at night, but while we're at Universal we'd like to have lunch there. Any suggestions for counter/table service places that you consider a "must-do"?

If you are visiting IOA you MUST eat at Mythos. :thumbsup2

Mythos Restaurant®
Food: Overlooking the inland sea, Mythos features fresh, contemporary cuisine, a full bar including wine selection, as well as family favorites like fresh salads, pizzas, and burgers.
Type: Casual, Full Service
Reservations: Accepted. Call Islands of Adventure Reservations at (407)224-4012
Serving: Lunch and Dinner daily

If you are only visiting Universal, I like Finnegan's a lot.

Finnegan's Bar and Grill
Food: American/ Irish: Fish 'n Chips, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Guinness Beef Stew, Sandwiches, Salads. Full bar with Happy Hour Daily
Type: Casual Full Service
Reservations: Accepted. Call Universal Studios Reservations at 407-224-3613
Serving: Lunch and Dinner daily

We'll be doing a day at each. Thanks so much, both places sound great. Is there a site to view menus?

Any other suggestions anyone?

Enchanted Oak Tavern or Burger Digs is good for CS at IOA and Richter Burger or Mel's Drive-In for US. For TS I can't give you a recommendation for IOA. I hated Mythos. Thought it was too expensive for so little food. However, I would recommend Finnegan's at US for TS. Food was excellent and prices weren't too bad. Only problem was all the noise from the bar.

i always vote for Margaritaville  (at CityWalk)

With only one day for each park, my first choices would be Mythos at IOA and Finnegan's at US.

That being said, we've had good lunches at Confisco's at IOA, as well, and pretty decent burgers at Richter's in US.

But I would never miss Mythos and Finnegan's :)

We ate at the Enchanted Oak and Lombard's Landing and liked them both.:cool1:

based on the type of food you want for lunch, i can give you my thoughts on which place would suit your needs.

what do you want to eat?

rotisiere chicken, bbq ribs, fried chicken, dogs, burgers, ch. strips, etc..

do you prefer table service or counter service?

i like the others love enchanted oak grill in ioa for counter service.
finnegans for table service in the studios, captain quint for a chicken snack

Since we're doing big meals for dinner at night I prefer to stick with lighter fare - salads, wraps, BUT the others will eat just about anything. I've checked out the menus and Mythos & Finnegans both look great, but do you need reservations? If so, we'll just stick with counter service - I've gotten some good suggestions here!

mythos usually closes at 3 pm.
they did extend the hours during spring break and stayed open until 8 pm.

call ahead and make ressie for mythos about a week before you leave home.

i'm looking at last years guide map of the park and see that at pizza predattoria has salads and pizza, and subs only.

go to blondies at ioa for good, made to order subs. it's probably one of the best kept secrets ........food is fresh always
