All the paperwork is finalized and the proper documents are on their way to Disney. Was wondering if someone could give me the phone number that I need to call to make reservations. I want to call and see if they have us in the system yet. Looking forward to making that first reservation! Thanks in advance.

It is the unwritten policy of this board not to publish the phone number for Member Services.

You can contact your Guide and he/she should be able to tell you if you're in the system. Your Guide will also provide that phone number.

Congratulations on your purchase, and WELCOME HOME!!! :)

The phone number can be found among those reams of offerning documents you got too.

Sorry didn't know that policy. I guess I should have put that I bought resale so I don't think we have a guide. Maybe I can find it in my paperworks.

Thanks.

The DIS blocks out the 800 number to Member Services - even if someone were to include it in a PM. If you are in a HUGE hurry to call, you can use the regular number. That is 407-566-3800.

If you are only in a "normal" hurry to call you can find the toll free number by doing a Google search. Took me just a few seconds to find it after I put "Disney Vacation Club Member Services 800 number" in the search bar.

Congratulations and welcome home!

Best wishes -

Have you recieved the guide books and stuff yet with your resale? It will for sure be in there and should have been in the information with the member number. I know sometimes folks who sell aren't very fast at getting that stuff out to the new owner.

No but to be honest there probably hasn't time for me to receive them. My excitement is just getting the best of me and we hope to make some reservations. I know that it is probably annoying for MS to get those phone calls but I was just thinking that we might be in the system by now.

LOL! I understand the excitement! :goodvibes Congratulations on joining!

Resale or direct....you have a guide. You may not know who it is yet, but you have a guide.

I'll add one qualifier: If your contract hasn't been recoreded yet by DVC, obviously they don't know who you are and you don't have a Guide.

But if you ever (and I mean EVER) contacted DVC or took a tour--even if it was 10 years ago--they most likely have you on file and some staff member is assigned to your account. Also if they have recorded your contract, then a Guide was assigned.

Agreed. But if your deed hasn't been recorded there isn't much point in trying to make a reservation either.

Actually, it is NOT an unwritten policy at all. It is clearly noted in the Welcome post stuck at the top of the DVC Board.

Feel free to call one of the listed DVC sales numbers (1-800-800-9100 is a good one to use) to contact your guide. They may even provide information about contacting Member Services.

After your resale contract has closed, you will usually be in the DVC computer within a week and will then be able to make a reservation.

Enjoy!
