Need suite hotel in January

I know there is one near DTD - can't remember what it is?

Husband and coworkers are heading to the International Home Builders Association convention at Orange county Convention center Jan 12-15. I would like to set them up in a hotel with a suite. A discount would be great too!

The Doubletree Suites is IN downtown disney on Hotel Blvd. Other suites hotels nearby are Homewood, Hawthorn, Residence Inn.

Would it be better to be closer to the covention center? Or did they WANT to be closer to WDW?

Unfortunately all the hotels near the convention center are booked....we bought an "Orlando weekend getaway at a 1st class hotel" at an auction in September. It took them over a month to get back to us to tell us that all the resorts they have contracts with were booked for that weekend. "Seems there is a big convention" - no duh, that's what we were going to use it for. And since it took them a month (acutally 5 weeks) to get back to us - everything was booked. So we added it to our spring vacation. And on that note - they haven't gotten back to us on that yet either - it will be going on 6 weeks in all to get the reservation. I hope we get an awesome resort....We will be adding it to the begining of our 8 days at Saratoga Springs and 5 days in Vero Beach - we can't wait!!! We will be gone for a total of 2 1/2 weeks - I hope the kids like me homeschooling them!!!!
