We are staying at the Best western Park place inn for the first time:banana: and I know a lot of people have stayed there before. so my question is,
Is there a particular room number that I should or shouldn't request?, which side or part of the building do you think would be best? I know others have said that some of the rooms are remodeled and some are not. (which ones are and are not?) We are staying 10 days so I would like it to be comfy and nice as possible. I also know that i'm not guaranteed 100% to get the room that we might want but it's worth a shot! I just don't want to get stuck next to the maids closet like we did at the best western anahiem inn. woke up to rolling carts and loud voices at 6:00am.:headache: I don't mind the sound of trucks and cars driving by, I just can't handle loud voices:hyper2: so early in the morning, at least till 8:00am. We enjoy sleeping in on some days of our vacations. all comments and opinions would be greatly appreciated!!!!!:thanks:

Closer to the front of the street the less you have to walk! Also there is only one set of elevators and housekeeping uses them in the morning. Why they do not keep the carts on each floor I don't know!

For our reservations over Thanksgiving, I asked for "3rd Floor, north side of the building". I requested the third floor so that there is nobody staying above us since it is 3 stories high. I requested the north side so that we don't hear the early morning deliveries to the restaurant that is right across the parking lot. I can't help with exact room numbers that will keep you away from the elevator.

And if you and stairs don't get along well, the third floor part may not work that well. Since we are gone most of the day, a couple trips up and down the staris does not seem like a big problem. We have never had a problem with the elevator, but it is definitely slow.

We too always request a room on the side away from Captain Kidd's, which would be the north side. We have stayed there now three times in their mini-suites, and have not had any problems with noise. We have stayed on both the second and third floors. We usually use the stairs. I would not want a ground floor room because thet are so close to the parking and I would expect those to be noisier.
