DP would like some nice perfume for Mother's Day (yes I'm a tad last minute) Any suggestions? She liked that "Celine" I don't know if they still make it and if they do I'd like to try something different. I saw some suggestions on another thread for Men's cologne but she really is more of a girly girl and I have no clue.

Thanks

I love Light Blue by Dolce and Gabbana!! Another one that I get at WDW is Laila. You can get it in Norway.. I'm not sure where you could find it in stores...someone told me Nordstrom.

I really like both of those! Yes, Nordstrom carries Laila. :)

I also like Insolence by Guerlain, and Euphoria by Calvin Klein.

Since I work with a baby I don't wear anything too strong during the day. I like "PS I Love You" from Bath & Body. I use the body cream and the mist.

Escada Marine Groove is a new one this year very floral and fruity.
Daisy and Lola by Marc Jacons are nice light ones as well.
Beyoncé's Heat is a sexy warm feminine fragerence, and it is long lasting.

Get the to a saphora.
They are great at helping in such matters!

I am with you Light Blue is one of my favourites! F by Farregamo is nice too, I like that. And also if you can get it ((this perfume is only available in limited locations)) Frederic Malle Angeliques Sous la Pluie. I am very luck to be able to get these in town here. http://www.editionsdeparfums.com/ If you can get this series of perfumes make a day of it as it's an actual experience in itself to get the 'right' scent. Take her out for a nice lunch and a perfume selection. She'll thank you for it! I actually met Frederic Malle when I bought mine; I think it took me about two hours to decide which scent was just right for me.

Perfume is such a personal thing though... I'd not buy someone perfume unless I knew they liked it. I have very specific tastes and unforunately usually expensive ones :lmao: My hubby usually takes me places and has me spend timing testing out various perfumes and he takes mental note of what I like or not like and will surprise me with the one I do like for a gift later in the year or else if he sees I have flat out fallen in love with a scent he'll get it right away.

I actually get bad headaches if perfume is too sweet has certain scent tones... don't know if others have that issue as well which is part of why I guess hubby won't venture to an unknown.

Thanks everyone. I ended up with Paris Hilton. I'll keep the other ones in mind for the next time.
Tags Missy you're probably right. I may as well be a straight man in such matters. We are also giving her a certificate for night away from us at a local hotel, so hopefully that will make up for the perfume if I didn't get it right (it came with a tote bag and the ladies selling it were very nice:confused3)

Thank you again for your help

You too Wally;)

While I'm not overly edu-muh-cated in women's fragrances, I agree with Wally that Sephora is great if you have any questions about any specifics. When I got a 2nd degree sunburn when I was on vacation in San Diego, they helped me out a lot and seemed very educated on all topics asked. :thumbsup2

After reading MM's post I realized you were serious, I didn't know there was such a thing. I just found out there's a Spehora Beauty store at one of malls. (I told you all I'm totally clueless in this girl stuff)

Thanks guys:thumbsup2

I'm a tad late with my suggestion, but my sister loves Estee Lauder's Pleasures. I get it for her every Christmas.

I'm also a bit late, but for future reference, I think you can't go wrong if you stick to the classic: Chanel #5.

:thumbsup2 definitely a perfume for a lady with class :)

Again, thank you all so much. DP loved her perfume and the tote:goodvibes.

I'll make a list of all the fragrances and start going through them for future birthdays, anniversaries, etc.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!

(I get "Mama's" day which we celebrate on Father's Day)
