need song ideas-Lewis and Clark

Hi Guys!

My DD11 is doing a power point presentation for school on William Clark(of Lewis and Clark fame). She needs some background music to put up with her presentation and we're having a hard time coming up with something. Anybody have any suggestions for "western expansion" type songs? If you know of anything appropriate my DH can download it from Kazaa. We just can't come up with any good ideas. It could be a children's song or a regular tune or whatever.

So, any ideas?

How about the theme from Bonanza? Or maybe "Happy Trails To You" There is another song about tumbleweeds...but I can't remeber the title.

The composer Aaron Copland has some "America" type music, I think he wrote the music they use with the "beef" commercials--try looking for stuff by him.(sorry so vague, I'm by no means a composer expert)

Along with Rock'n Robin, I'd go with Aaron Copland. The titles of some of his music that might work are Appalachian Spring, Rodeo, Billy the Kid, The Tender Land, and Fanfare for the Common Man.

Ken Burns did a documentary/mini-series on Lewis & Clark. YOu might want to look at it and see what music they used.

Ooops! Sorry if there is a virus there. It didn't do anything to my computer and my firewall didn't detect anything, sooo... Just in case, I'll go back and delete the link. For the OP, the song was "Roll on Columbia" so if you are interested in that one, you could do a search for it.
