The overwhelming wave of support is truly appreciated! It’s seems so silly to worry about weather (and if you knew me, this is typically not my style) but when you work so hard to finally get to Disney, you want all the magic! And that’s exactly what we got! Lotsss of rain but seemed to be placed perfectly for our trip, either at night or when we took our mid-day break. Drizzled during Kilimanjaro Safaris and every animal was out and about, also down poured during our EPCOT morning when we tackled all the INdoor rides. For all those traveling the same week, I hope you all enjoyed your trips as much as my family and I did! Cheers to never worrying about FL weather again!!
We were there the same time frame. It rained Sunday afternoon/night and most of Monday. Sunday, I stupidly wore my Vionic no-tie tennis shoes, which I had worn without issue earlier at AK, for the walk from BWI to Dolphin for dinner. I slipped and fell on the BW planks; I slipped and fell on the bridge, and I slipped and fell about 20 feet before the side entrance to the Dolphin. I lost my umbrella in one of the falls - it mysteriously fell out of my cinch-strap backpack. My knee was bleeding and bruised; I was pretty sure I’d broken my pinky toe (confirmed hairline fracture when I got home - foot is still bruised), and my tailbone still has not recovered. It was the first day of our trip, so I (threw away my Vionics) and wore my Merrill water shoes since my foot was so swollen I couldn’t wear tennis shoes. I considered calling Morgan and Morgan for my pain and suffering. Be careful out there folks if you’re old and apparently feeble like I am.
