need some pixie dust!

I need some pixie dust!! Hi all! I have just created my first item...after about 4 hours of work...
...all I can do is laugh at myself. BUT my daughter will be wearing something created just by me! I can't figure out for the life of me how to get it posted on here, but that's okay. What I can't seem to figure out how to do is put in some pixie dust on the picture...which I think would make the perfect final touch. Have found several tinkerbells w/ dust in the picture...but if I make the dust cover the whole picture...tink is just way too big then...

Any ideas???

...also wouldn't mind if someone could tell me how to add 'sparkles' to a crown. Right now it's just silver.

Yeah...just learned how to do this from DOM...

Hope you are using Photoshop!

• 
  Click on your paintbrush tool
  Then on the toolbar above your image...look through your paitbrush list until you find the star paintbrush...there will be several pixel sizes...you will just have to play with them until you find the right one.
  You can also change the size that you want in the box next to the list of paint brushes.
  Finally, the important thing to make it scatter across the page is go to the "more options" tab and towards the bottom of the drop down box you will see "scatter" increase the percentage of the scatter until you are happy with it.

To make a single sparkle you can do the same thing...just make the size large and click once on the area that you want instead of dragging the paintbrush to make a pixie dust trail. Hope this helps and you use photoshop!

I apply glitter or fairy dust using Photoshop Elements. I actually search the net frequently for free effects like that I can add (styles, patterns, shapes and brushes)

Just remembered...this is what Kellybell sent me when I asked her how she made her "bling/sparkles/highlights" not sure what they are called.

"I use photoshop elements and they are brushes I downloaded for free and installed into my photoshop program. You can do a google search for photo shop brushes and the sub search for sparkle brushes, you can also download them as png files to be able to use them in any program ."
