My wedding is about a year and a half away from now, but I have been looking online at wedding dresses for a while now! I found the most beautiful and most "me" dress about six months ago, but unfortunately it was discontinued. Since then, I have found another wonderful dress but I am afraid of it getting discontinued. My question is, should I go ahead and try on that dress and others now? Or is it too soon to start looking and buying? Also, is there any website or place that I can look at discontinued dresses? Thanks for any help!!

My DW had a dress 2 weeks after I proposed. She bought it on sale at David's Bridal... It isn't too sppn.

My wedding is 5-22-06; I purchased my dress in April this year. It actually just came in this weekend. I was concerned it might be discontinued. We are currently on the search for BM dresses. Didin't think that they would be this hard, I picked the 1st dress I tried on (after trying on many others). If you found something you like get it, who knows how long it will be around.

I found and bought my dress a year before our wedding. I knew it was the one and didn't even think about wether it was too soon or not! Go try that dress on, find "the one", and get it! If it is THE DRESS it is never too soon! Post a pic if you can, would love to see it!

Good luck! and happy shopping...

I don’t think it’s too early. If you find the right dress, that’s all that matters. I wouldn’t get it altered until closer to the wedding though just in case your size changes a little bit.

Thank you all for the replies! I found a website that actually had the first dress on it. It said of course that it was discontinued but to call about sizes, so I might try that out! I would post the two pictures, but I have no clue how to do it! If anyone could tell me some instructions I would be more then happy to post them! Thank you again! :flower:
