For part of my final project for one of my classes I have to research the company I would like to work for. So i'm going to research Disney. I have to have an overview of what there about, an annual report and the like. I did a quick search on google and found the annual report on the Disney web site. But I wanted to ask some of the share holders or anyone else who might have an idea. Is there any place where I could look at the annual report or an overview about the company that isn't a Disney site? I just want to make sure my bases are covered. I'd like to be able to compare what's on the Disney site against something else. TIA. :)

Although much of the information will be redundant, you might try the Securities Exchange Commission web site www.sec.gov. Here you will be able to see the exact filings that Disney must provide to the Government, there is much more detailed information in those filings than in the Annual Report. In addition, they have to talk about the bad stuff in more detail than on their own web site.

You should look for the 10K for 2005, unlikely that 2006 will be finished yet, also the 10Q for the previous quarter. The proxy - (SC13) will have information on Executive Compensation and executive bios as well.

Another good place to look for information on Disney would be to search for employee Blogs, although some of this information may be skewed, and predominantly anti-disney.

Good Luck

Since Disney is publicly traded, you can request an annual report from them and they will send it to you. I did this for a college research paper. It was awesome. I also found some books at the library about the company w/ employee policies, etc. I don't remember the names of the books or anything (too many years ago--1991).

Good Luck.
