I'll do my best not to ramble.

The good news: I managed to retrieve my reservation on the US website. After some problems, I called the number on the screen and it turns out that since I booked with Disney UK I need to click on "booked through group/convention". Sounded odd, but it worked and my ressie came up with our names, resort, dates, etc.

The worrying thing for me: it shows as one adult and one child. Although this is technically correct, anyone who remembers my rant in November with Disney UK, I upgraded DD from child to adult dining plan because we are on QSDP and wth her allergies, it spares us the wait for special catering because she can order and eat plenty of things off the adult menu. My grievance with them was that they charged her as an adult not only on park ticket, but on flights, accommodation, flight supplements and absolutely everything. EXPENSIVE! By the time I finally got a response to my letter of complaint (in January - 2 months later) if I want to revert back to what I had there is an amendment fee of £100!?!

Anyway, it's not that I want to change as the whole point of QS is we like to be free and on the move. I am already paying OOP for 6 TS on top of that and it was my decision and one that still suits me.

I phoned Disney US and they looked up my ressie but the guys said they don't have any info except our names, check in/out dates and resort. I asked what would happen if we get there at 7.30 pm and they have her as a child and she gets the child Dining Plan and he said he doesnt know, but recommended that I get it sorted before I go as he would be concerned. I am a bit .... okay very ....concerned as this cost me A LOT more to upgrade her than it should have.

I am definitely loading my credit card and booking there for next year while we are in the US! Any level headed (because I don't think I am right now) advice would be welcomed.

Your itinery should show 1 adult and 1 child, a child shows on reservations upto age of 18, then they turn adult. Matt will be 16 in August but still classed as a child for Disney hotel reservations.

Just checked ours after logging onto Disney.com I get this
Check-In Date: Sunday
Aug 8, 2010
21 nights, 22 days
Adults 2
Children 1

Or from our initial confirmation
Disney's Old Key West Resort

Disney's 21 Day Ultimate Ticket

3 x Disney's 21 Day Ultimate Ticket (Ages 10 and Up)

Disney Dining Plan

3 x Disney Dining Plan (Ages 10 and Up)

Thanks Wayne. Now I can go to bed like I should have done hours ago! :rotfl2: I always take my confirmation with me anyway (the UK one). What I may do though as a precaution, is to get Disney UK to email/put a note on my confirmation that I have upgraded DD to adult. I didn't before as I assumed the fact that all the prices say "2 @ ......" which should imply 2 adults, since I clearly won't be going as a child myself. I just worried tonight that as Disney US doesn't know how our prices are structured so that in itself may be meaningless. I think I'll go with a confirmation.

I know with us, the 12 and 15 are classed at children, but we have the free ddp and they are being classed as adults for meals.

I hope you get it sorted :goodvibes

Thanks everyone. :thanks:

It's just the way it looked on the booking page and mine doesnt say anything about adult/child park tickets. It just says on the US website Magic Your Way Package. I had visions of standing at resort check in at 7 pm with a very tired child, trying to find a manager to sort it out on a Saturday night. Probably worried about nothing.

Glad everything was ok :goodvibes

You should be more like me and not worry !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Just sending you my best wishes. And still laughing at you, eeyorefan or any of us not worrying - that is one of the funniest things I have ever read!! :rotfl:

You made me laugh! Oddly, one of the things annoying me most is that this is completely out of character for me. I am the person who books my package and stops looking. I expect things not to go exactly according to plan all the time and treat it as part of the adventure. I am the calm person in the crisis.

Of late however, I have been exhibiting some very strange behaviour, includging getting into a twist about OTHER PEOPLE's stresses (like ADRs for example - sitting at my desk SWEATING!!!! waiting to hear that you were all okay). I suspect it is down to the fact that I have been extremely busy and under a lot of pressure at work over the past months. I know I am tired and that doesn't help.

Re. the above, I will still have it checked out as now that it has my attention, i would kick myself for not following through on it before it's too late. There have been too manyreports of communication problems between the UK TA's and Disney in the US. When you land there, all our guys here have gone to bed, so no chance of them ringing to sort anything out on check in.

As you know I booked through the phone on my first day of ADRs, then on line for two days, I had to ring up to book the firework viewing when the CM told me she only had 3 reservations for me ........... I thought I was going to faint :lmao::lmao::lmao: She was wrong but boy was I sweating knowing that was my fantasmic package, nemo package, le cellier etc :lmao::lmao:

I have all my Reference numbers written down in two places, saved on my pc and in my iphone. And I have never ever been asked for one - I really think they will be ok. :thumbsup2

You were the very person I was sweating about ... or with!

Anyway, I might post a brief version of my post on the US board, just asking how theirs comes up on screen when they recall their ressie on the US site. Maybe I need to leave the boards alone for a few days to see if it calms me down. It occurred to me this morning when I saw all the cleaning stuff on £1 deal at Asda. I bought loads of cleaning things so maybe that will vent my frustrations and tire me out so I get some sleep!:lmao:

I have bought two little notebooks, I have written the date, times and reference numbers in one, got my mum to do one, and told my dh he can put the details in his ipod phone - not that I am being careful mind :lmao:

Oh no I am a worrier through and through, I worry for other people as well if they have not got time to themselves :lmao:

Yes def get it checked out, it will only be on your mind all the time else.

Did you book your holiday inn? :goodvibes

I always think to myself, if it wasn't for the dis I would never have found the OKW offer and never have booked onsite never mind free dining. I have a lot to be grateful for!

Not yet. Trying to get things sorted for DDs birthday party in 2 weeks - 30 kids!!! So hoping not to put anything on my Credit Card until the next statement if possible. Hopefully the deal will still be on or I will get something similar. Don't mind if it is a few £££s more, but definitely going to book it.

I cannot get over how patient and helpful everyone is .... and yes I have learnt so much, started off on the disneyland paris side and gone from there.
