Actually just some good thoughts, vibes, etc sent my way!

I've had it with debt. I've had it with constantly having to revert to using CCs when I run out of cash. I've had it with being enslaved to this insanity.

I know I've posted before about it but it never seemed to work out. Tried the Dave Ramsey and others but nothing worked.

I found the credit card calculators at Bankrate.com and estimated that I can have all my credit card debt paid off within 18 months (or sooner). The smaller balances would be paid off within 2 -6 months and the rest over 18 months. If I completely stick to the amounts, I can realistically get it all paid off sooner (probably in 15 months or so).

Now, here's the issues where I need your vibes, good thoughts, strength sent my way:

Cutting back on nonsense and sticking to cash budget (for groceries, gas)

NOT getting discouraged

NOT making impulse buys (I had my DD make her holiday list today and I'm getting the items bi-weekly until I get them all. Thankfully, she only wants a couple of small items)

NOT allowing my husband (soon to be ex hopefully) discourage me or bring me down or scoff at me like he always does when I try to accomplish ANYTHING.

Thanks guys!!!!!! :)

I've read your posts before, and think you can do it! Just stay committed and look at every area of your budget to see what you can cut or minimize. I have been walking my friend from high school through a similar goal and she is doing rather well cutting out expenses, going down to one car, etc. Good luck--it will be worth it in the end!

I completely understand what you are saying :)

I am sending you good vibes and positive thoughts your way! You can do anything you want to do no matter how many times you have no accomplished what you wanted the past is the past always look forward. Keep moving forward!:thumbsup2
And you can always come on the dis boards for support!:grouphug:

Thanks guys!!!!!! I'll definitely be back here seeking support or kind words on this!!!!

if you are looking for budget motivation this is the place to get it. :cheer2: i just paid off my first sub-student loan, i am doing a reverse snowball, largest loan with the highest interest rate so it took me 1.5 years from when i started paying extra on my loans to kick the first one but it felt great!!! you may not be able to be around budget friendly people in your real life but here you are always surrounded by them. coming on here and seeing others post what they have accomplished will help you want to do the same.:goodvibes

It is hard but it can be done Dh and I have lived cc free for 13 years. His mom had trouble with cc and we did not want our kids to every fall into the trouble she had. So we use gift cards I put money on gift cards and use them when we need things . One of the things that help us the most is to calculate the amount interest you would be giving the cc company.

I keep track of my fundage as a reminder that I have no money for that coke at Mickey Dee's. I can buy soda at Wal-mart for less, or make tea to drink. Try to stay focused on the goal.

I'm sure you'll do great. :cool1:

Good Luck on getting debt free. One thought for you is see what the instrest rate on them are and get the highest ones paid down first. If the smaller ones have the highest rate then pay them but if a bigger balance ones is higher then pay them down first.

Just stay focused on how you will feel when you are finally debt free. :dancer:

Keep your eye on that prize.
