Hey everyone :)

I've been through the Disneyland CP before. Didn't much enjoy it due to very crabby co-workers. It didn't help much that I also had a role I didn't enjoy very much, but I HAVE been through the program, so I know what it's like, good parts and bad.

I really want to apply for the WDW program. I was offered a role in Attractions (my dream role) a little while back, and declined, not ready to make the decision yet. With the new season coming up, I'd love to apply again. I'm just terrified.

I live in AZ. Pretty much the complete other side of the country from Florida. The one and only thing keeping me from applying would be my family. Seeing them means so much to me and even when they'd visit once a month while I was on the DL program, I missed them very much. If I go to FL, they'll be able to visit only once during the entire duration of the program.

I'm kinda torn, have NO idea what to do, any advice?

I live on the opposite side of the country from FL as well and did the WDW program this past Spring. I only saw my family once as well. And I'm extremely attached to my parents and this was my first time away from home. The thing that kept me going was always staying busy and talking to my mom at least once a day. There 7000 kids doing the WDW CP and I'm not sure how many CS (I dunno if it's the same for DL) but you know you can always decline the invite if you don't feel comfortable yet. They won't hold it against you. ;)

It sounds like you have a great family and that they will be supportive of whatever decision you make. I missed my family during my program, but when I came back home I missed all of my friends that I made in FL! Look at it this way: This is the only chance you'll get. When you graduate from college and start a family, will you regret not doing the WDW college program? If so, then give it a try. You'll be able to talk to your family on the phone/skype/computer, but you won't be able to do the program once you're out of college. Good luck on your decision, I wish you the best!!

Thanks for the advice guys :)

I think I'm gonna do it. Your advice actually helped a lot and made a lot of sense to me: I have my whole life to be with my family, but only right now to do the program. I think I'm gonna be brave and go for it.

And if my roommates turn out to be as kind and friendly as you, I'll be able to get through it :)
