Our school has a huge magazine drive fundraiser every year and if we meet our sales goal, we have some kind of party, activity, etc. for the whole school. I have run out of ideas. In the past we have had an all school dance, brought in big inflatables for the kids to play on, taken the kids ice skating, etc. We are limited as to what we can do because there just isn't much to do in town. The possibilities for this year are a party at the YMCA, ice skating or bowling. I would like to try to do a concert, bring in some kind of entertainment, etc. but I don't have any ideas. We would like to keep the costs as minimal as possible, but could spend $500 or so, give or take a couple hundred depending on how much over our goal we go. So all you creative people, any ideas??? The school is a Catholic School grades K-8 with about 375-400 kids.

What about an ice cream or pizza party? Another fun thing might be to rent a few bounce houses and have a "bounce house bash." You could also have a movie night. You could set up a big movie screen in your school's gym and sell or give out popcorn and candy. I also like your idea of taking everyone ice skating.

How about a farm fair. You could have a petting zoo, carnival like games but geared in a farm way-pop the pink pig balloon,....and have healthier snacks such as fruit kabobs, corn on the cob, apple bobbing, apple pie eatting contest....
You could also have a wagon ride, pony ride, and name an animal contest.

A few more details about the sale, we have an ice cream party in the sale already and the homeroom that sells the most gets a pizza party. Also, we are a farming community, so the farm think is old news :rotfl: , but CUTE idea! Oh, and I don't want it to be too much work.

How about a giant pajama party? Show a movie?

My mom helped plan a school party this year. It was a Riverboat Carnival. They had a DJ, some carnival games, cotton candy and popcorn, a palm reading station, a magician, and a background for the kids to get their pictures taken.
If you are having this party in the winter, it could be fun to have a winter carnival. I don't know if you have anyplace to have it, but we live near a huge sledding hill which also has a skating rink in the winter. You could make smores over a fire pit, have a snowman building contest, give out hot chocolate/apple cider/coffee/ cookies, etc. I am lucky enough to have a great hill in my backyard and a family who works together to keep a skating rink up in our yard all winter long. We make Ice lanterns to surround the skating rink, make lots of tracks for sledding down the hill, make smores over the fire pit, and invite all of our friends over. It is so much fun. I think that it would be a blast to have this type of a party with a whole school.
