Would anyone be willing to share their favorite "sit-down" restaurants at MK, MGM, and Epcot please? Also, we're trying to decide between the Hoop Dee Doo and luau. Also, what does the dining plan cost per person if we opt for it? I haven't seen that anywhere. :confused3

TIA,
Terry

Our favorite sit-down restaurants are:

MK - Liberty Tree Tavern
MGM - Brown Derby
Epcot - Le Cellier

I believe the dining plan is $35/day/adult (age 10+) and $10/day/child (age 3-9).

I've never been to the Hoop De Doo, but I can tell you that I go to the Polynesian dinner every time we go. I love the food and the way it's served, and the dancing (especially the men) is very entertaining. The only "downside" is that the story line is a little cheesy...

Our exact favorites!

My faves:

Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge
Le Cellier at Epcot
Brown Derby at MGM
1900 Park Fare at Grand Floridian

Agree 100% with those choices.

We enjoyed both the food and entertainment much more at the Hoop De Doo than the Luau.

Epcot: Biergarten or L'Originale Alfredo di Roma
MGM: Brown Derby or Sci-Fi

If you get a chance eat at Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It's great!!

We've been to the Hoop De Doo and enjoyed it.

Thank you all! I just read there are 6000+ items to choose from at all the parks. Choices, choices!!!!!! :scratchin

Our favorites are:

MK Crystal Palace for breakfast, Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner
Epcot Garden Grill for lunch or LeCellier for dinner
MGM Prime Time Cafe or Sci-Fi Drive In

We love the Hoop De Doo!! It is so much fun and the fried chicken is the best I've ever had. The show is corny, but is hilarious at the same time. I can't comment on the Luau because we have never done that.

Have fun planning!! Choices, choices, choices!! :mickeybar

Agree with everyone, especially Brown Derby. We did the Liberty Tree for lunch and enjoyed it alot. Loved the 50's Diner for supper. We also ate at the Rainforest Cafe, cause the one near us is an hour away. Good, not great.

Fav Sitdowns:
MK- Crystal Palace
MGM- only ate counter service there
Epcot- Rose and Crown

I've never been to the luau...but we did the Hoop dee do last year and LOVED it. TONS and TONS of food and drink...GREAT entertainment!!!!

We really enjoy Crystal Palace and Rainforest.

We overwhelmingly choose Hoop over the Luau.

Well after seeing a lot of the same places listed over and over, I'll pass this on to DH and see if he will agree to it! Man, if all of you knew about how good these places are, it sure makes me feel like I missed out during my last trips to WDW! :mickeybar

Thank you again everyone!

MGM -- Mama Melrose and Prime Time Cafe
Epcot -- Restaurant Marrakesh (also like Teppanyaki, San Angel, Chefs de France, Le Cellier, Akershus before the princess addition)
We don't eat sit-down meals in MK. Did go to Liberty Tree for lunch once, which was fine.

Don't forget the resorts. Boma at AKL is great and Whispering Canyon at WL is so much fun.

MK-CRT and Plaza Restaurant
EPCOT-Le Cellier
MGM-Sci Fi Hollywood and Vine for Fantasmic Package
