My parents have tickets in their MDE (and are NOT computer savvy). They are staying at The Dolphin. They were not sent physical cards. What do they do for entrance media into the park? They are en route to the hotel now.

Do I send them to the Dolphin gift shop to buy magic bands and have the CM attach them to their MDE or IG entrance of Epcot and go to Guest Services to activate and get physical cards?

Bands will be easier for them to keep track of.

Do they have a cell phone with the Disney World app? They can use that, the Disney MagicMobile feature, to use their tickets at the gate.

If you think MBs would be easier for them, then I would do that.

I do...but the IG gift shop is IN the park right? They'd have to get in To even buy the bands. Do they have them at the Dolphin gift shop and can those CMs attach them to their account? Or do I need to send them to Boardwalk or Beach Club?

They should have them in the Dolphin store. I believe that the employees in the stores may be actual Disney employees. I'm not positive though.

My niece had to have an old ticket looked up and the woman in the Swan gift shop was able to track it down for her.

If they don't have them at the Dolphin, they can walk over to the Yacht Club, Beach CLub, or Boardwalk, they'll have MagicBands there.

They don't HAVE to buy MagicBands, they can get a hard plastic ticket issued for free. Do they happen to have a print-out of their tickets? If so, they can simply go to the park entrance tapstiles and have a hard plastic ticket issues. Guest Relations or a ticket window outside a park can help them if they don't have a way to show the ticket.

The want to be like us "cool kids " with our fancy bands. 🤣

We were in WDW last month, and flew in without magic bands. We went to the shop at GF and bought bands. We asked the CM who rung us up if she would help us set them up. She wouldn't take our phone, but pointed to where to go. We had to link each band to a person and enter a code from the band for it to be activated. It might be a good idea to tell you parents to ask for help setting them up.

One evening, while park hopping, my son forgot his MB at the hotel. We went to guest services and they gave us a card. I think they scanned my wife's MB and asked who to assign the card to. So, there might be some setup on the card too.

Edited: Nevermind I see they are there now.
