Need prayers and good thoughts for Kevin's Mom today * Update 5/8/11*

I'm so sorry that I am late to this conversation. We have been dealing with a death in our family and I was not online much in the last week.

Kevin and John, I am so sorry. No one wants to have to make that decision, it is so incredibly hard. We just went through this with my Grandmother this time last year. The people who work in Hospice are wonderful and caring. Little about that makes it any easier for you and your family and the process you are facing, but your Mom will be in good and caring hands.

My thoughts are with you.

Oh, Kevin... I an so saddened by the news about your mother. I pray that she is at peace and surrounded by all the people who love her.
I never had the pleasure of meeting your mother, but I could tell by the way you talked about her that she was a fine strong woman. I love the story of how she kept going to the pay phone before bringing the family to the Magic Kingdom for the first time.

I know how you are hurting right now, we had to make the same decision with our mom six years ago. As others have said, take care of yourself so you can be there with your mom during the time you have left together.
