Clearly you are a result of the guidance and parenting of your mom and dad. Their values and love will live on through who and what you are.

Her suffering has ended and she is at peace.

Dear Kevin, as a Mother, I can only hope that one day my sons would take as good care of me as you did for your Mom. While you know that her suffering has ended, the loss of her light is not made any easier. I hope that the love and concern from friends and strangers alike, along with your most treasured memories will help you through the tough times. It seems so surreal that life goes on after such a difficult loss, yet it does. My experience has been that the person you lost comes back to you in the most ordinary of ways, whether you are in a restaurant and order their favorite beverage, standing in line in the market, or just a warm smile from a complete stranger. May you find comfort in the love and concern of others.
