Need Prayer!!!!!!

We are supposed to be leaving for Disney Friday via car. Our car died today after having it thoroughly checked out last week for the trip. My husband said that the problem was one that could not be easily detected. We do not know if it will be fixed by Friday. We told the kids we would rent a car to go, but that is $$$ we did not plan for. If the car is fixed, the car place will bill us. Please say a prayer!

This might actually be a blessing in disguise. Some repair shops have inexpensive rentals. If you can find a good deal on a rental, you might be money ahead in the long run.

No wear and tear on your own vehicle for the trip. Something nice and new that you can rely on that you don't have to worry about. Maybe even a larger vehicle if you need more space.

Enjoy your vacation. We'll be right behind you on Sunday.

We drove down to WDW in December in our car with over 200,000 miles on it...and I was a bit nervous all the way! We had a couple of maintenance things we took care of before the trip and all was well (it's a Honda ). I look at it this way, at least your car problems happened before you left rather than in the middle of your drive, when you might end up stuck in the middle of nowhere! Anyway, hope it all works out for you and you end up having a wonderful trip!

Thanks for all the good thoughts. I am thankful to God that this did not happen on our trip. The car dealership is going to try to get it fixed by Friday. If not, we will just rent a car and still enjoy our trip. I have gotten some great budget tips on this sight, so I will just budget a little harder. My family really needs this trip!

Car will not be fixed, but family members know how much we need this trip because of some stressfull situations going on and have offered to rent us a car. We are going to take them up on it. Thanks for all the good wishes and prayers!

In early 2000 my in-laws bought a new van because they were taking me, DH and DD on a trip to WDW in September of that year and were driving down. They wanted there to be room for all of us and our stuff. They (and we!) were so excited. Well, a couple of weeks before we were to leave my DFIL was in an accident (he was OK) and the van needed major repairs. My DMIL begged and pleaded and was sweet as pie to the mechanics and would bring them cookies!

We made it to WDW ..... and yes, we took the van!
