Need Potluck ideas for a lowcarber

Hi All,

I need some help. I am headed to a pot luck next week, and I need to come up with a dish to pass. The ususal salad, cheese tray, fruit tray have all been claimed. Anybody have ideas?

How about spicy sausage/cheese balls? We love these and they disappear very quickly at office parties.

Hmm, sausage-cheese balls sound good!

I was going to suggest bacon-wrapped mushrooms. (If you want lower fat, you could probably use turkey bacon.)

Just cut bacon in half down the middle, half mushrooms (depending on the size), wrap the mushroom with the bacon, and stick a toothpick to hold it together. Put it on a wire rack over a baking sheet and bake until the bacon is semi-crisp.

You could use different veggies too. Asaparus is another good one.

How about those tiny weiners with low-carb bbq sauce? Put a little dish of toothpicks next to the pot for people to stab them with!

How about shrimp and lo carb sauce............yummmmmmmmmm

It is easy, yes a little pricey but we have had some really good ones around here lately and they have been big hits at gatherings.

I'm surprised no one mentioned wings. You could do Heroine wings or buffalo wings. Or even buffalo chicken strips with cole slaw. Yummy!
