DH and I are planning on four trips this year to WDW. 
Our first trip will be in May for the EE Challenge. We were already planning on a week-ish long vacation at the end of August when they are most likely going to offer Free Dining, then our last two trips would be weekend trips for the ToT 10-Miler in September and the W&D 1/2 Marathon in November.
So, of course, we're most likely getting APs for all of the trips this year and I know that the APs can come with room discounts. I'm just wondering how we should handle everything and what kind of deals we should take advantage of.
I know how FD works if we have APs, and we would need to buy two 2-day tickets to get the FD. We would most likely just hang on to these and either use them for a future trip or towards AP renewal next year. But I'm wondering if the FD would even be worth it over an AP room discount.
I have our dates in May (5th-10th) priced out as follows (for 2 adults):
Hotel, 6 day park hopper, QSDP: $1554.40
AP Upgrade: $553.80
Total: $2108.20
This is with the current special on the website. I've already called, and we don't have any other pin offers available for May. Would an AP room discount be more? Would it be worth buying the APs now and booking the room and QSDP separately?
It's hard enough planning one trip, but I'm going out of my mind trying to plan four!!
